I've been singing the praises of the torque mags for years for this application. At least with the long subsonic loads. With some of the shorter supers the lack of the guide rib allows a fair amount of front and back play. I would like them better if they had a slightly steeper feed angle. And on that note there's a couple tweeks you can do to a standard usgi mag. You can increase the feed angle of the lips very slightly. And you can also use a round file to add a little bit of clearance on the front of the mag so wide meplat ammo doesn't catch.
Great info, thank you! I use Lancer L5 5.56 mags for 300blk and have never had an issue. I think based on this though I'll pick up some 300blk specific mags.

I had issues with lancer 30rnd mags being able to keep up as well. It's only an issue when running 220gr and 230gr though. The extra weight of the rounds is just too much for the spring. Drop to 197gr subs or any supers and it runs fine. Haven't had any issues with the 20rnd mags
We looked into them! however they don't advertise the material they use which is why we went the ISMI route for the time being! We only like dealing with springs which we know what material is being used.
There are currently flatwire springs on the market for ar15 magazines. We already have the Sprinco flatwire springs which we found to be the same strength of the standard springs. Flatwire springs do offer a few benefits but strength isn't one of them, its the ability of them to be thinner and wider that allows them to have more coils with similar performance. and this only really alters the spring rate rather than the force.. Flatwire springs can literally mean nothing unless they have the correct properties. Also, flatwire springs are expensive to manufacture and without increasing the coil count are still susceptible to the same longevity as standard springs assuming the same material is used. I could keep going but just know we aren't just blindly jumping into it!
