Dear Haseeb, First of all, thank you so much for these very fruitful and detailed explanations about the ADP-200ER. I have an issue with mine and long story short, when AC is on (220), I have the 4.8V standby voltage present but at the very moment I switch on (like you did simulating the switch on), the PFC IC does not start switching and the voltage never rumpup to 410V. At the same time the standby 4.8V collapses gradually to 0. I checked almost all components and I see no short or visible damage. Mosfets, capacities, etc all seems good. The only remark I have noticed using a thermo camera is a breif temp raise at ZD24 (High side) and R158 (Low Side). I also noticed an abnormal short in Q41 but even after trying to replace it or remove it nothing changed! The ZD24 (zeiner) is normally at 15V and I see that when I switch on the coltage increases to 16 or ish then voltage collapses. As teh ZD24 is in the High side that means the the command on moved through the optocoupler from the low side to the high side ... but the fact that the resistance R158 (close to the IC151) is getting hot may means that the IC151 is faulty... Any help or diagnosis direction would be very helpful. Thanks!

Am having trouble with this power supply when you activate the 12v (shorting standby + acdc standby) the out put shoots to 12 but it drops . So does the pfc circuit and the standby drops. Any help?

Very nice video. Can I ask how these chips are initially powered? In the schematic it appears as if the chip receives VCC from an auxiliary winding of a transformer it switches. But initially, there is no switching. So how does the whole system come to life?

Hello Haseeb. I got a 7216b PS pro , but when I turn it on it doesn't react anything only beep sound but the led doesn't light up. I think the power supply is at 12Volt but unfortunately I don't have a circuit diagram. The power supply type is ADP 300FR. I would be very grateful if you could help me.

My supply makes a fizzing noise when plugged in. I have 5v on connector. But no 12v when signal is shorted. I tried to test but all smaller capacitors on output have temporary short while capacitors still hold charge(unplugged) The fizzing sound seems to be coming from ether the large transformer or the mosfets, but cannot find any shorts there. The temporary short is making testing difficult.

Is that the component that fails occasionally and causes the PS3s' common fault: when you turn on PS3, power led illuminates then turns off after 10 seconds.

Great video mate im working on a ADP-300ER PSU that has the same DAP041 (DAP046 fitted instead) and im checking voltages on each pin but on my FB (feedback pin 2) instead of 0.4V i get 5.1V. ON another good working ADP-300ER, i get the same if not very similar readings as u in the video. Can u tell me why my Feedback pin would be getting 5.1V? Does IC151 control the 0.4V here or further back?

I have both resistors 272 burning out. the diode bridge is fine. diodes d41 d42 0.592. I can't figure out how to make it work. The 2.72 resistor melts immediately. please tell me your guesses.

Hi friend. I love your videos, and I have watched your video many times but I can't figure out the cause of failure. Please help me. The main capacitor in my PSU goes up to 400v as soon as I short the pin, but the voltage starts to drop immediately. Then it goes back to the voltage it was before I shorted it. Even if I short it again, it does not go up again. What is wrong with it?

I got 16.4 Ω for the R1 (fuse resistor) the colour code on mines is Brown, Blue, Silver, Gold & Red. Did you measure yours to get a reading?
