I do something like that! Except I physically write letters to my son. Not daily, but every once in a while, especially during big milestones like his birthday, his first steps, his first hair cut, etc. And I just tuck the away in his baby book for when he's older.

My husband does that for our daughter..he will give her the email address when she turns 18 ❤

my mother did something similar for me, and she gifted it to me on my 18th birthday. one of the most special things i have ever been given in my life and one of my only material possessions that has true meaning.

I did the same thing for my son! I'm an only child and nothing my parents have past on. There are no memory books for me and no one to reminisce with. I wanted something for my son because he too will be an only child and I don't want to leave him feeling lonely after me and his dad are gone.

When i was watching the announcement video and my husband asked what was so exciting i told him their story and he was over joyed. He thinks I am insane when i talk about my "RU-vid friends" like they are in my real life. That is how much of an impact she has had on people.

3 kg? No, it is ok, heavy is considered around 4 kg (8-9 pounds) .He was really tiny even for my frame, i was aroung 61 kg, so cause of the diet i added just 7 kg for the entire pregnancy.

I went through 5 years of not getting pregnant and it was so hard. Then we got pregnant and miscarried (ectopic that ruptured and had to get my tube removed). Even though I didn’t have a baby in my arms, I felt like I wasn’t “broken”. A year later I got pregnant again (by some miracle, my ovary on the other side was covered in endometriosis and I was told I was infertile after my other tube was removed). My son is now 9 and we’re going through the adoption process (on hold because of Covid). I know the process of pregnancy is very important to many women who have never been through it, but after you have a child, you realize that it’s about how you love them, not how they were inside you for 9 months. Even though we haven’t adopted yet, I have 4 adopted cousins (I had 3 aunts who were infertile) and I can’t think of a better way to expand our family. 2 people is still a family though. I hate it when people call getting pregnant “starting a family”. But some people in our pregnancy class were in their 50s and adopting teenagers (as soon as teenagers age out of foster care, they have no family to go home to for the holidays, nowhere to call home. If we have the means, when we are older, we hope to adopt a teen, but for now we’re sticking to 5-8 yr olds). The process also goes a lot faster if you have room for a sibling group. Adoption was something we discussed before we got married though. We wanted 2 biological kids and if we wanted more, we would adopt. I had to have a hysterectomy after a bad miscarriage though, so now the plan is one biological kid then adopt however many till our house is full (right now we have one spare room, so that’s one). I still remember my angel babies’ due dates (I was pregnant at the same time as my sisters, so they have kids within months of when mine would have been born) and I mourn the time I never got with them. But I’m so thankful for my son. He’s autistic and difficult at times, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. It took me a while to get to this point though. After he was diagnosed I was so upset that the only child I had was disabled while my 4 nieces and nephews are all healthy. Now I cringe at my past self. Every child is equally special whether they are healthy or not, whether they’re biological or not. Sorry for rambling on and on. Hope you have found peace with how things have turned out for you. I don’t mean to sound like I’m pushing adoption, but there are lots of kids who need a home (not lots of babies though, we tried to adopt a baby for years before we just switched to older kids. There are hundreds of perspective parents for each newborn and we were told we could be waiting 10+ years so we thought we’d give it a shot, but we don’t want to end up with a teenager and a toddler. We want them to grow up closer together). I’m rambling again (I haven’t talked to another adult, other than my husband, in weeks) Hope you find peace in your journey, whether you remain childless or not.

The love and responsibility I feel for him is so powerfull, he is a part of me, he came from me. I would die for him immediately if I had to. I think the biggest reason for these feelings, is the fact that he is made of me and his father. I believe a mothers love is nature's way of making sure he survives and thrives. Thats why I've wondered how it works when people adobt. I love all children, but its not the same, I don't know if I could adobt? What if I wouldn't develop strong feelings for the child? Have you thought abpur things like this?

Hey Kendall! I'm getting way ahead of my self but just a heads up if you are looking for a hospital birth not sure how far you are from it but the Denver Health birth center close to 6th and Speer is amazing. I had my 2nd son there and they were great. As soon as I had him they allowed my older son who was 5 at the time to help clean him up and sing to him. It was sweet. They also send you home with a bag if diapers!

That was my instinctual idea too. Cats often become more cuddly and intimate with expectant mothers or those who need extra love. Their brain is wired the same as ours when it comes to emotional and they are extremely sensitive to our energy and emotions - with which they can help as well due to their purrs f.e (hence, finally!, more and more therapy cats and emotional rescue cats).

Oh my god, Carly! 😂 Why are guys like this?!? I am 45, in menopause, and had a hysterectomy 18 years ago. My guy saw me eating pickles and ice cream one night and he FREAKED OUT! I was like, “Calm down, crazy pants. I’m just stoned.” 😂🙄

I actually read in a book about animals that multiple women have stories about this. Women who have had cats and delivered their babies at home, often had emotional support from their cats. The author described how her own cat would come in during delivery and lay beside her and purr as if the cat wanted to calm her. Which is pretty cool.

I missed the feeling of my baby being in my tummy, too. It was just comforting having him in there.

All of this ❤️. My daughter is now 14 months and I look at her and can’t think of life before her but I also miss her while she was in my womb. It’s a weird feeling but it’s comforting at the same time lol

It reminds me of doggo. When my older sister was pregnant he'd always jump on her bed and cuddle her tummy. When my nephew would kick he'd like her tummy. Oh God, the cutest thing ever😭❤️

My daughter did the opposite. Move during the day and then “settle down” to sleep as soon as I went to bed, and would wake up with me. Luckily, this meant that from day 1 she was a good sleeper. She would take two 15 minute naps during the day and sleep from 6:30pm to 6:30am. I would wake her up to eat and change her diaper and she would immediately fall asleep again. She is 19 now. She is still a heavy sleeper. She’s lucky she is taking online classes for college and staying home because no alarm wakes her up. She has to be shaken to wake up. Funny she has not changed since she was a fetus.

“Party time!” made me giggle 😆

During the day there's also loads of stimuli, so just like babies that are already born, they can get tired from being overstimulated. [Honestly, being autistic, me too! lol]

A nurse told us it's also due to a change in hormone levels at night. She said they're like little college students, those hormones jack up and they're like alright party all night!

Same thing happened with my mom ! She was super active.

That’s great it helped you! I worked out, walked, rode my bike, did prenatal workouts at least 5 days a week my whole pregnancy. Even pushed through morning sickness and worked out. The day before I went into labor I had completed an hour prenatal workout, jumping jacks, burpees, I was in peak shape. I had a horrible long labor, over 24 hours. I had only progressed to 5cm after 24 hours. Then I had to have an emergency c section, and I had a horrific recovery. Being active during pregnancy Is great, but it doesn’t guarantee a smooth labor unfortunately.

Me too. I had an amazing labor. Pushed for 10 minutes (of that) and he came out. I was strict about what I ate and I exercised daily. It helped so much and I didnt gain a ton of weight. It also was way easier to get the weight off!!

Ruth Weiand That sounds like you over did it though. Burpees when your full term? You shouldn't even be doing them in the 2nd trimester.

I am obese and had HG (i vomited day and night for the entire 8 months i was pregnant). I spent most my pregnancy in bed or hospital. I had a 90 minute labour and pushed for 4 minutes. I think we have to be careful when advising women that if they do X then Z will happen. Firstly, it doesn't work out like that. Secondly, it implies women who had hard labor's didn't do all they could exercise wise to improve their labours. Mums have a million ""if only's" already- lets try not to add to the pile

I was 10 lbs, so was my boyfriend. I'm pregnant with our first and convinced this baby is going to be huge, I'm only 11 weeks though so I don't know yet.

My daughter did the same thing, she was super active! They told me she was going to be too big and I’d need a c section. I ignored them and she ended up being 21.5 inches long but only 6lb 3oz. She is now 19 and a ballet dancer!

I'm just extremely grateful that I did not need a C-section. I don't know how cz that baby was huge! I had him natural, with no pain meds and I didn't think I was going to survive the birth 😂 but I did. They only had to snip 2 cm so he could crown all the way. Very grateful.

I’m 28 weeks and worried about this as well. How much weight not gained was enough for them to be concerned? Baby seems to be growing okay but I’ve gained maaaybe 20lbs, give or take, and still throwing up on a regular basis so it goes down a lot. I hope everything’s okay for you and baby!

Ms. Misty Eyed Aw :/ have you been sick at all? I’ve had no appetite so most of the weight gain is protein shakes, Taco Bell, and carbs. It’s the bare minimum but it’s something and baby’s healthy so far. I’d use this as an excuse to eat as much as you can and if your body still doesn’t gain, then that must’ve been what you needed to grow that baby! I gained 80lbs with my first two pregnancies so it definitely threw me off to gain nothing the first 20 weeks with this one!

Alexandra Clark not sick exactly but I had more food aversions than cravings. This is my first pregnancy so I had no idea what to expect! I just noticed he liked savory food more than sweets, and most desserts made me really nauseous. I had no idea what was considered abnormal until my doctor sat me down and told me. I cried the whole way home lol

I have to get PT for my pelvic floor, because endo has destroyed it, I’m so nervous , i tried it for a small amount of time before, but had to stop because of insurance stuff, before I could really feel any positive effects, so I’m not looking forward to the pain in the beginning. But hopefully it’ll also help to have sex? I can’t get anything in!

Osito Cedar with Enzo we see it accompanied with pelvic floor muscle tightness! Pelvic floor muscle tightness are a very common cause of painful intercourse as well as general pelvic pain. Pelvic PT will help to stretch these muscles, most definitely helping with sex!
