The scorpion coat is my favorite. As soon as I found it and (finally) understood the adaptive armor tab I was giddy...what can I say I’m a sucker for trench coats.
Just a quick note - the eyepatch at 4:30 doesn't actually *replace* the eye. It's hard to tell when the model is rotated here but when you look on from the side, you can see a gap between the eyeball and the patch. Not totally immersion-breaking but worth mentioning, I think. Happy Gaming!
Thank you for this tip!! My inquisitor looks awesome now! Mixing and matching the available adaptive pieces that are available from the vendor is a cheap way to give your character a good look.
Saber Marshal - One of the best Sith robes out there...if not for the damn clipping issue when not used with a helmet that hides the hood. I highly suspect that they did not even bother to test the armors without the helmets that come in their set.
Hey dude you keep asking me but I replied in another comment :P I'll copy it over: I've never used gunnery commando sorry haha. Here's info about stats and mods: swtorista.com/articles/how-to-gear-up-at-level-70-in-swtor/ and here's a gunnery commando guide: dulfy.net/2017/05/10/swtor-5-2-gunnery-commando-pve-guide-by-damian/
Remind me, as a free to play, preferred account now days, was there a way for me to buy the armor and then make my current armor look like one of these armors? Or i would need to mod them my self?
Yes! It is called the outfit designer and even preferred/free players can use it. When you go to your equipment panel try click the numbered tabs on the right of it. more info ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sSCX6cYZuKs.html
@@Swtorista Thank you, thinking of maybe, just maybe returning just for the story missions but being lock out of progression some what cut the intruige
So true. A lot of the armor isn't too over the top (same with the endgame armor, more so here), and it's pretty cheap. Plus, some of the armor looks similar to certain higher level versions (dyes will help if you want the look of the hl version for cheaper). And a lot of it is simple, clean looking (arguably the Padawan robes, but with a cloak and more details built in).
I just wish hoods could keep the hairstyle, maybe changing the ones with more volume to some with less volume. Same with the hats like that agent's cap that removes it and leaves the character bald.
Can’t you transmog a covert invisible head piece over your gear on a new armor set tab, like a costume overlay? Sorry forgot the lingo as I haven’t played in almost a year but I’m sure that might have been an option in order to hide your hood
Hide hood has been a highly requested feature since launch but it hasn't happened. Fortunately these days finding armor variants with hoods lowered is possible. You'd think a covert head slot would be easy to do since Twi'lek and Togruta especially have that by default.
I am very glad we can do hide head. The hats/helmets on some of the outfits are very silly.. I just wish we could hide hoods.. Some of the outfits do dye very well I have to say. Thank you for showing the outfits in very lighted areas.
You @SWOTORISTA are a bad influence in a good way! Just when I am trying to finish out the character stories to get my legendary, here you go providing MORE ways to get cool ass armor :) So I simply HAVE to create another sorcerer and consular! Your fault...but we love you for it!
True! I’m new, and SWTORISTA is the reason why I’ve paused my story arc in Onslaught and have taken up playing Heroic’s, GTN, Crafting, etc. I appreciate it.
Mz. Fashionista, using "Ultimate" graphics? Your armor looks better than mine. 😋 @Michele There are a few headband type head-gear that will hide hoods which you can try on via the GTN kiosk.. I hate going bald when wearing hooded outfits.😎
as a returning player, this find was amazing, sadly i bought the vendetta set for my IA, but my heroic blues are all better and i don't know where to find mods to the set. i still bought it, very cool set
Ah!! If you are free to play I think those blues are the best in the game, so keep them on. BUT you can put the vendetta set in the outfit designer! They're the numbered tabs on the side of the equipment panel
@@Swtorista oh swift response, love it, i never knew i could use them as a "skin" that is neat, actually i'm a sub (because i don't mind supporting a game i was a founder off, and still enjoy) but that makes things different? ty for the quisck response, that was cool
Great Video! I have been looking for that Grand Inquistor set. I had totally forgotten about the adaptive armor vendors on the fleets. Thank you so much!
I remember when that jedi myrmidon set was actually the Supreme inquisitors robes, and it was super rare. I grinded for many hours on hoth trying to obtain it, and now its basically free LOL.
I recommend using these, even if you want to use another appearance, changing the Mods, Enhancements, Armoring, Crystals and Hilt/Barrel is always extremely helpful. Do it as you level and your gear will always be on par. Its not a requirement to do it every time you can, though. You can skip a few levels and then upgrade the items!
If nothing else, the Scout headpiece is useful if you're F2P, want to have your face more or less clear and don't want to spend money for the option to hide your helmet.
I don't know if you've seen it yet, but if you want this video should help you get a head start :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HI5exBqMVQY.html
@@Swtorista Much appreciated, I'll drop a follow over at twitter and if I have anymore questions (which I will probably do in the future) you're my go-to gal
They condensed the servers again? Half my characters names need changing, if I come back to this game they’re gonna have to move me again there’s no way I’m changing my BH name
As always, I am late, but I usually pair Stormguard with either of the 2500 credit Adaptive Trooper helmets. They automatically turn green and orange to match, so it fits perfectly. (Side note, since the male Jedi Knight is voiced by David Hayter, putting a voice modulator on them makes them sound exactly like Solid Snake.)
If you take off the mask on the Saber Marshall set you get a hood instead, and it's my favorite hood in the game because its huge and you can actually see your face during cutscenes. It's what I use on my Assassin main
The smuggler side Scout set is in reference to the original KOTOR, a game I played the crap out of when it first came out. Definitely nabbing that one my first chance. Thanks for another awesome vid!
As you are levelling you don't have to worry too much about having perfect stats - any that focus on mastery, power, or crit should be useful to you :) As you reach level 50-70 that's where you want to start worrying about them.
Wow... I remember these sets being planet specific drop only items. The breastplate of that green Jedi set was worth several millions and one of the most expensive pieces in the entire game if I remember right. I also remember being rather proud to have been able to complete the Saber Marshal set for my Inquistor back in the day. Times changes hu? - Now its some cheap cosmetics… Not complaining, more choice for the players. It was kinda lame back in the early days that it was very, very difficult to get the “iconic” trailer looks.
That Initiate armour looks good for a Padawan same with Myrmidon if dyed brown. I might use Omenbringer as like a meditation robe or Force Magister without the headgear. For bounty hunter I might use hydra helmet gauntlets and boots with trainee or imperator chest and pants due to her outgrowing her Mandalorian armour having to escape the slaughter of her clan at 15 or 16 years of age of which she finds a spare set of armour that doesn't fit her yet except for the helmet, gauntlets and boots
i absolutely love all the information you have here and appreciate all the time you have put into this site. Your presentation skills are absolutely wonderful and your voice is very pleasant. thank you again for helping new players, and veterans.
Hey sworista I was watching ur vids for quite a long time I decided to buy (CM)some amazing looking armor and I found 3(not without ur jedi knight armor vid) Relnex, Valiant Jedi ,and Resolute guardian armors Can you please tell me your opinion about them and what is your favourite Thanks A lot Love ya
On the subject of the Initiate robe, I found a similar one (Agile Judgement, for the Republic) that has a pale blue-grey color, and it looks awesome. Obviously, if you are a low level, the Initiate robe and dye would be easier (and the Initiate robe doesn't have a hood, so that's a plus), but if you really like the color of the AJ robe, just use your "Hide Hood" toggle or find some headgear that negates the hood. Overall, a lot of the armor looks really cool. This was definitely a helpful video!
@@Swtorista I agree! It's like creme and tan, but for grey (it feels like it has a tiny bit of blue to it). In many games, there's always olat least 1 piece of gear you'll get that looks great without changing the color, and this is a prime example. (Laughed when I saw the 90% caps). I looked up the vest a bit more (apparently, it's called a vest and not robe), and there's no sign of a specific drop source. Besided the GTN, it's likely a random reward or drop (most sources do say it's around lvl 31, so it's probably a random drop while leveling). When I start playing, I definitely hope to find this robe-it's perfect for my plan for a simple look! :D
the stuff gets bound to that character when you purchase it so you cant even send it or store in the legacy bank. if there's a way to get around this then I don't know why it isn't explained for noobs like me
I just wish the front flaps of robes with pants didn't stick to the legs like they do. I'm not a programmer or model designer, so I don't know how much work it would take to fix it, and I figure it would mean remodeling all the outfits. Someday maybe.
"Many of them are quite expensive or take a lot of time to earn in game" - there's another OR... OR they look like they were designed by a first year art student who doesn't love Star Wars and thinks the definition of armor is to put random blocks on hands and shoulders. Seriously some of the gear design in this game is horrendous.
love the jedi armors especially the Force Magistor even tho the physics thing sucks it looks like Luminara Unduli robes and i love her she’s one of my favs and the dark robes i used those with my dark jedi and all the other robes. and who cant love the hydra suit and the imp agent one that looks all 007ish
One little note, the td07 panther set responds VERYYYYY well to dyes with a black base as the pouches and such are secondary dyes. They used to be the the sets for completing planet or FP questline so they were designed around multiple colored versions with the same model, so dying is a big difference for that set as they were originally designed to look different with bust color changes.
I really like the comlink head pieces. I don't much care for the rest of the armor that is part of those set, but I guess I don't have to buy the other pieces.
I was always sad you couldn't get most of those sweet bulky robes from the Jedi side over on the Sith side. Always wanted those big bulky robes and deep hood just in black.
All this different armor looks fantastic SWTORISTA, I could seriously kick some Stormtroopers butt with this armor!!! Any chance of you sending it to me while I'm still fighting on Scarif?
2 years old today was the World premiere of Rogue One at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. The best Star Wars movie to come out in 2016!!! Felicity Jones and Diego Luna look magnificent at the premiere and had the best onscreen chemistry.
Wow this was so useful thanks. I was also just about to restart the trooper class can’t wait to use those trooper armor definitely the TD-17A Colossus armor very cool
