Well, he already got a little bit in Season 5. I think we've always sort of been dancing around the idea that Tucker is capable of more then he gives himself credit for.
I like knowing that they've started something completely new for two reasons. 1. I know there are a LOT more seasons to come. 2. People can now shut up about the Meta returning. It's also good that they haven't completely dropped PF, and that they're storyline is still in the background.
@zelefant1482 I stopped at 14. It felt like it was the added spice on top of a complete collection. I'm starting 15 today because I feel like I gotta at least finish it now that reconstruction is coming. But damn, BGC - Chorus will always be my Canon. It took a while for Chorus to grow on me because of how awesome Freelancer was
I just loved this line in Season 11. Grif: Whatever, your funeral. Just remember, if a robot ever corners you, just stick him with a magnet. Simmons: Computers haven't been affected by magnets since the 20th century! Grif: Which is exactly what they want you to think.
Why is the show still called Red VS. Blue? Shouldn't it be called Red and Blue VS. Every Goddamn Thing in the Universe? All jokes aside, this series and song are FANTASTIC.
Process for listening to any song by trocadero: Listen to it once, have no clue what it's about Listen to it 50 times trying to figure it out Realize you love the song Rinse and repeat
@@swiftarrow1174 Sure but the video was always at the top of the suggestions every time I listened to it but if u cant find it, here u go ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PwEqnTS3RBI.html . Would u mind checking the top though just in case.
Basically any really good song in a nutshell. Even more so if you try it out in the proper context (an example would be, say, "Kings" from Project Wingman; as its own song, it's nice, but when played in the final mission of that game complete with your personal experiences watching or playing it, it's glorious and damn tragic to hear).
I won't deny that profanity is common in the RvB universe, but just because there's profanity in the show doesn't mean one should adopt it into their daily utterances
Two: Kimball and Doyle Four: Jensen, Palomo, Bitters, Smith One: Epsilon Ten: Reds and Blues + Docter Grey Two: Felix and Locus Four: Locus's Team of Space Pirates One: Control Ten: Reds and Blues + Carolina, Washington, Epsilon.
R.I.P Monty Oum. You will be missed be many. You have inspired many and given so much joy and entertainment to everyone. R v B and Rwby would not be the same without you. Thank you for everything you have given, and may your family be helped in this troubling time. Loved by many, forgotten by few.
*pulls hat off and bows head in moment of silence* Never truer words spoken... A true God amongst men.The one who brought CGI and season 12 to us. No one can forget him.
Wolfey I think it would've taken longer to get to CGI without Monty. Though I'm not a fan of s10. (Don't ask me why, I don't want to argue till I'm blue in the face... Again.) I see why seasons 8-10 which was Monty's work were so important to the franchise. Which leads to season 12 which brought a new animator to fill Monty's large shoes.
Yea it's not like he just dropped RvB but I think he was majorly focusing on RWBY, maybe gave some tips and some mocap, and they have a whole animation team
I was listening to this song when I was going to an appointment this afternoon. When I got to the part where it said: "When I think of you... Your name is in the sky. Ninety feet high..." I got choked up... Thank you Monty, for everything... And rest peace.
Don't forget to support them by buying the track :) It's an overly generous price of 99 cents! Personally I'm also saving a version with the footsteps and talking in it for the nostalgia, but it also simply fits with the song to me when I think about the lyrics I can make out.
UncookedMoa I actually kind of saw it coming since the beginning of Season 11. After all Season 10 ends with Church and Carolina sneding them there on purpose, but Season 11 makes it look like they crashed there, which never added up. So I always had a theory that Church and Carolina were fucking with them, but after this season, I wonder how much is a lie, how much is real, and why they're doing this in the first place.
***** I'm not sure if they're really the bad guys. I suspect this whole, "you crashed on a planet in the middle of a civil war" is a farce that Church and Carolina orchestrated in the first place. After all, it is pretty convenient that Wash and Sarge, the two people in the group who have experience leading others, are the ones incapacitated. The Reds and Blues being famous is also suspicious, they credit them for bringing down PFL, but officially, the Chairman did that, the Reds and Blues just cleaned up a few details (like the project head who was unaccounted for). This may be a setup, kind of like how the whole Red vs. Blue conflict was, with the purpose of giving Tucker, Grif, Simmons, and Caboose the opportunity to learn leadership skills.
***** I think she may be a double agent. Her entire goal was to use the locust to get a hold of sarge and the others, so she could get the whole blood gulch crew off of the planet.
I love how while Jeff Williams and co. have been working on RWBY, the old band (Trocadero) has done a lot of the music for Season 11. This coupled with the fact that they're using old fashioned machinima and not animation just gives me nostalgia.
I really have to hand it to Rooster Teeth. At first I was skeptical on this season since Burnie wasn't directing but the last two episodes really made me sad and scared. For Wash and Sarge. Wash is put into life-threatening situations alot probably. But Sarge who's hilarious and always crazy and stuff. It really makes you feel for these characters.
+Angel Grijavla They're still making RVB! It's just Church who's gone. And given how many times he's died already we can always hope he'll be back some day
"Alright, let's run some drills." "Aw, shit." "Aaaand, break!" Honestly one of my favourite endings to a season - it had me screaming at the screen at the time, but now that I look at it again, with the music and the timing and everything, it was magical.
Here are the lyrics, everyone! Enjoy! We've been here so long Still I remember The rainy September Contact Two, four, one, ten Two, four, one, ten Am I transmitting? Is anyone listening? Trocadero apparently commented and posted the correct lyrics here: np.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/comments/1sxoz3/help_with_transcribing_lyrics_of_contact_rvb/ce2kyze To make it easier to access, I submitted the lyrics to MetroLyrics a few days back: www.metrolyrics.com/contact-lyrics-trocadero.html

FailProjectGames That's what I thought at first too. But Nico himself said it's "The rainy September". Check here: np.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/comments/1sxoz3/help_with_transcribing_lyrics_of_contact_rvb/ce2kyze/ "TrocaderoNet" comments with the official lyrics.
I like listening to this song when I feel like everything is falling apart and there is nothing I can do to change it. Also you're awesome for clicking on this.
"One of us will be forgotten, the other ones mourned." I believe this is the lyric at 2:04, and it probably refers to Donut, Sarge, and Wash. Donut was forgotten about while everyone else mourned Sarge and Wash.
tacoboy40 Who gives a damn if it's 25 or 28? It's still more than fingers on my hand! And if it's more than number of fingers on my hand, It's gonna be a looong wait. I'm pumped!
The author of this song is probably referring to Epsilon. (Thanks plus.google.com/113198234258833388092 for that reminder, it's late and i'm tired lol)
Citrusbird386 YUP! on top of that you can throw all your theories for Church away, Miles and Burnie both confirmed he is forever retired. I'm still pissed.
I have a rooster teeth music playlist with rvb and rwby soundtracks, and I am proud to say rt4 copyright has done an amazing job sharing these awesome songs
Way better than the Redux version. Somehow you can feel what the reds and blues have going through, after all the shit they went through: O'malley, the Freelancers, the Director, now the Chorus civil war. It'll be sad to see Church really go, because his motivations throughout the show made him relatable to me .
Jacob Geshel My problem with it is that it's TOO sad. RvB is not a depressing show, it's just action-packed, dialogue driven black comedy filmed with the Halo engine. Even in the guitar solo you could kind of feel their situation. The redux version is like: "Church is going to die, farewell old friend". This version I hear: "Well...here we go again." fits the meaning of the series better. And I like the vocals here much more as well. I...relate to it more.
+hopscotchoblivion But that's why they went the sad route. It's very likely that Church is gone and they want that feeling to translate that to the audience. The redux version fits the moment it was made for. Putting this version there completely takes away the impact of Church's "death" and his overall speech. Also, comedy focused shows can have somber and sad moments too. There's nothing in a film book that says they cant be sad. Look at Scrubs for instance or Teen Titans. Both filled with comedy and Teen Titans also being action packed. Yet we see episodes, even seasons, that end on such a depressing note.
You know... Season 11 was amazing. I was one of those who actually liked the CG in season 8-10, and was downright amazed at how far RoosterTeeth had come, both as a company, and as storytellers. And while I don't know about Season 11 being the best of the seasons to date, it certainly surprised me; after the conclusion of the Freelancer storyline, I figured that there could be no way the story of the Blood Gulch gang could continue. And RoosterTeeth proved me so very wrong! Not only did they provide a compelling story in this season, but they did it without any of the original CGI from the previous seasons, Trocadero outdid themselves with some of the most truly phenomenal music they've made so far, and while a lot of people are bummed (myself included) about the cliffhanger ending, I'm truly stoked for what Season 12 has to offer. Rock on, RoosterTeeth. Rock on!
Awesome. This is just what I expected out of Trocadero. It made Season 11's ending so much more satisfying. I really wonder what Carolina and Church are up to, though. Especially after that cliffhanger.
I completely agree with you but my thought on Carolina is that they're coming to get the freelancer equipment. The mystery will pondered until season 12
laxale38 That is what I was thinking. In season 10, she mentioned to Church about some people getting their hands on equipment from Project Freelancer. She said it was way above their pay grade. I think she is fighting to get equipment from the rebels. She'll lose though, because Caboose, Simmons, Grif, and Tucker are still fighting for the rebels. If Wash and Sarge get away from the Feds, then she won't stand any chance.
myfwanwy Or she beat up the Lt he was talking to, and is trying to recover the crate. The Rebels "Good or Bad" I'm not gonna deal with, but I highly doubt Carolina is gonna turn into South Dakota (AKA a Bitch).
Brian Goza I doubt that the rebels nor the federation are good or bad, they are simply 2 sides hoping for different outcomes. Quoting S8 Soundtrack: "Are there really saints or sinners, or is it always Red vs Blue".
It's nice to realize that the Reds and Blues started from fighting a simulated war where death is taken as an open action item to fighting a real war where death is consequential
Yami Bakura here here, the freelancer story was way way better then the one in spartan ops, heck if they made a red vs blue video game with those characters, i would never get off it!
I came back, havent heard this song in a while I know this whistle well but for some reason I can now feel the sadness that this one carries it struck my heart strings It hasn't been the same since season 10 life hasnt been the same ever since those days...
Next season is almost here! Better prepare yourselves for some mind blowing action (one way or the other), for it's coming next week, just 3 more days left.
i like this season because of Tucker, you can slowly notice a beginning growth with him! I'm mean we all knew he was a good soldier but never showed it! Tucker will be their best leader i bet!
***** He may have been the worst on the team but he is the one of only 2 left. And the only on to fight the meta and live...and before you say it he tossed her off a cliff that's not fighting :P
when I heard miles played as Felix I got happy. He does so much for red vs blue and rwby, he deserves some freaking parts in his own writing like holy shit miles, take some credit for yourself.
Oddly enough my book has a part that ends in a death of a main character so when I saw the part I just looked in disbelief at how they perfected the meaning behind the death in the show with a good song.
Yeah, it's strange how Rooster Teeth easily conveys messages with cinema and audio. It's even more strange how so many mainstream cinemas fail to create such memorable characters and stories.
+Unranked Person Well you have to take into account that this show had more than a decade to develop their characters, where as a movie or franchise gets a couple of an hours or movies.
You think after 11 years RvB would run out of ideas for a good plot line. Season 11 was one of the best seasons yet. RoosterTeeth still has a couple tricks up their sleeves. Props.
