I wonder what all these GR86's are doing to address the oil pressure issues we've been hearing about.

そもそも数少ない症例でしかないから本来なら無問題ですそんな事言ったらサーキット走行したらピストン粉砕したとかそういう車両いっぱいあるんでてか油圧問題は結構なスポ車抱えてるんで

@@user-ig5li6so2h As with everything on the internet, it does seem like it's overblown; but it's also true that quite a few people have documented the oil pressure issue with data. It'd be nice to have a fix for peace of mind as it's holding many back from either buying the GR86/BRZ or taking it to the track. It doesn't seem to be fixed with a simple baffle and some folks are resorting to overfilling or using an accusump system. A dry sump seems both overkill and expensive for most amateur enthusiasts.

@@DoubleOSevan If your worried don’t buy it, the car comes with warranty and there are some videos prove with oil cooler and add more oil, the problem solve.

@@vincentgao8839 You lose your warranty, as soon as you take your car to a track. The problem is alleviated, but not solved with a simple overfill. Oil coolers don't do anything for oil pressure issues. Why would they, the issue most likely stems from oil starvation due to bad pickup with no baffle. The aftermarket baffles that are out, don't do anything, with some making the problem even worse *cough* Kazama *cough* 20-30 psi oil pressure drops should not be taken lightly, especially for the FA platform which is known to wear out its soft bearings. It's easy to say "Don't buy it.", but that distracts from the issue that Toyota/Subaru market an enthusiast car with a huge design flaw to you. I am waiting for this issue to get resolved, until then I'm not buying one.

@@R3IMU You just overreact to the whole story, oil cooler help u can overfill the oil and it significantly reduce the oil pressure drop. We have a gen2 group in our area there are around 100+ members, from now on 0 car blow their engine. Why Subaru didn’t recall or update on their 2024/2025 brz, because that’s not a real problem to cause engine fail.
