My full review of the ART Pipes here:
www.my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/476102-independent-review-motordyne-art-pipes.html
Solid gains throughout the entire performance band. Approximately 9whp and 5wtq at the top end. I actually gained as much as 23wtq at 2800rpm, which is enormous.
2006 350Z (6MT w/ RevUp Engine)
Mods before:
K&N Drop In Filter
Motordyne 5/16" Spacer
Motordyne MREV2
Stillen Headers
Stillen HFCs (Replaced with ART Pipes here)
Stillen True Dual Exhaust
Uprev Tuned (w/ stock headers)

@itsmemiiiiike Correct. The only change made was the replacement of the Stillen HFCs that were on already on with the ART Pipes. No re-tune, no additional parts or swapping out of any other components.

@heresteven Definitely. The catalytic converters are the biggest source of lost power in your exhaust. Whenever you remove the resistance they produce, you'll gain a great deal of torque and horsepower - and moreso w/ the ART Pipes than with typical straight/test pipes.

@nitrorc75 Actually, they're no louder than your typical HFCs. HUGE difference from the sound of test pipes, which make it very loud and have a tendency to give you the raspy sound that a lot of people don't like. I've actually seen some dyno charts that show headers dropping power early on and gaining it in the top end. The great part about these things is that they give you a huge boost early on and a really great gain throughout the rest of it on top of that. Hope that helps.

@footballmania132 Thanks, man. I definitely kept the ART Pipes. Someone would have to fight me to take them off :) I'm loving them. However, I'm not really loving the Stillen headers, so those might come off next week. If they do, I'll post some before/after dyno's and video clips. I imagine it will sound much, much cleaner.

@footballmania132 No, it's a place called Humble Performance here in Tulsa, OK. Though I've lived in Humble, TX, for what it's worth.

@keeepitpg Yeah, it really should be - I think something was going wrong with my car at the time. As it turns out I was at least having an oil consumption problem for a while there and subsequently just had the short block replaced a month ago. I might get the car re-tuned/dyno'd with my latest setup sometime soon. We'll see.

@skillgun74 if your getting the revup engine model to for the mrev2. Also there is a lot of proof that you will lose power with an intake due to heat soak. The stock intake design is very good but after markets will sound better. I know T least for the g35 that the stillin intake wisll neither lose not gain power and sounds phenomenal.

@1Keviton1 Actually, yeah. In fact, I just posted a video of the new setup without the Stillen headers. You should definitely check it out. As far as getting more hp, the ART Pipes may provide greater delta gains with the stock manifolds, but unless you're losing horsepower with your headers or hate the sound, you would probably be better off keeping them on - especially considering the work involved in their removal. (You should post some videos of your car, too!)

@nitrorc75 Honestly, I don't think the back pressure concerns that a lot of people have are all they're cracked up to be unless you're going FI (turbos require a degree of back pressure to be effective). What I do know for certain is that I gained power throughout - I mean, I did move on to the Motordyne TDX exhaust, but I haven't had any sort of power loss issues related to back pressure. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it - especially with ART Pipes.

Haha what a coincidence. I live just north of Humble. Your Z sounds nice. Keep up the good work! Did you keep the ART pipes or was it just for dyno purposes? If so, how are you liking them?
@march11stoneytony
@march11stoneytony 11 лет назад
@keeepitpg depends on the dyno. 280 whp sounds like a generous dyno

@oNAGAo yeah i had mine replaced last summer. i'm interested to see what numbers you get, because i'm on my way to a similar setup. a subscription might be in order!

so this video showed us the gains from your car when you ONLY put the ART test pipes on the car? or did you put others on there as well as the ART pipes?

@oNAGAo yes that was a big help,and i thank you for responding.i have another question.hows your back pressure.i had some megan hfc before and i had lost back pressure.true my top end picked up very well,but i had lost some bottom end.whats your opinion on that?

What size bolts and nuts & gaskets do you need to install? I bought used md art pipes for v35DE
@oNAGAo
@oNAGAo 6 лет назад
Should be same bolts as stock, if I remember correctly. Likely want to purchase new gaskets as well. Not to go Reading Rainbow on you, but don't take my word for it; call up Motordyne and double-check with them. Their customer service is some of the best in the business, and they will definitely have the correct answer.

your numbers should be higher than that, shouldn't they? a full bolt-on revup should reach about 280whp+

will adding the art pipes to the stock exhaust increase the torque?
@nitrorc75
@nitrorc75 13 лет назад
@oNAGAo im thinking of getting a set.r they loud because i already have the hks exhaust and headers.i also feel like i lost alittle torque after i got my headers on

Did you get a weird rattle noise at 2200 rpm on deceleration after install?

Not that I can recall, no.
