The stock has a cleaner roar which I prefer, but I can definitely see the appeal of the Nismo exhaust as well. Cool exhaust.

I had a G35 coupe (same engine/exhaust note) and I loved the stock sound so much I could never swap it out for something else

all i can say is thank you! ive had my 350 for some time now and i have never found any one who could tell me what just a nismo exhaust sounded like, cuz i was very hesitant on it, but now, yeah im getting one haha

I honestly think the Nismo exhaust is the best for the VQ if you're staying N/A with bolt ons. With the right engine bolt ons, even the stock DE exhaust is enough volume.

Man, I didn't realize there was such a difference lol. I own a Nismo and before I purchased it I've heard that a lot of people don't really like the Nismo Exhaust because it's too quiet or something. I personally love it, it's deeper and more aggressive than stock. I may end up getting a Motordyne, ARC, or something along those lines maybe Amuse R1 idk yet I have to do my homework on all of them lol

same here!!! '05 Performance, manual, single turbo, bilstein susp, brembo, new fuel inject, pump, and flow managment system, i took it from 287 to about 326 last time i checked

Its a nissan made VQ35de. They are well built and they can handle plenty of heavy revving at neutral. Especially if the engine is already warmed up and well managed. Do that every day along with hard driving and daily driving then yes you're looking at a problem.

Actually if I remember the correctly they are both different, the Nismo S-Tune is made by Weldina and the OEM Nismo 350Z exhaust is made by HKS and the OEM nismo exhaust is the same piping as the non-nismo Z exhaust but just a different muffler, strictly for sound; no horsepower

I'd tend to agree, but have you checked out Motordyne's TDX V2? Or any of Ark's exhausts? Those two companies make excellent sounding systems. They sound exotic and completely non-ricey.

Stock gives dampened sounds while the nismo one gives you true JDM sound. Thats it :)

Haha I was just giving you a hard time! I really want to invest in the Nismo S-Tune exhaust and their R-Tune headers. Together they sound perfect, not extremely loud, just enough for a DD.

actually it has more to do with the by-products of the combustion of gasolene and it's interaction with oxygen. Modern fuel injection provides a much more efficient 'combustion' compared to carb'd engines, but it still isn't 100% efficient. Some of the gas is converted in to water as well as other compounds.

Im not a fan of the tips + angle they are angled at. Im gonna blend my stock with the nismo can since my buddy extended his tips to fit the FX35. Im so in love with that sound tho. The stock sounds nice but after 3500/4000 rpm the noise just dies and its blahhhh. The nismo seems to get louder and louder and its a fat pipe going all around vs the stock.
