Hey mate, not sure if its something people are doing to these new rigs, but when I upgraded everything on my 2014, I also upgraded the brake booster along with braded brake lines. I purchased mine from Bramac, but I also think Jamacx did one. It made a big difference especially when towing.

Thanks mate, yes I did a booster and braided line off Jason in 2016 on the grey 79, will look into if anyone has done an upgrade on the 1GD

Bigger tyres made a big difference on my Challenger. I went from running 255/70/16 to 265/75/16 and lost acceleration and braking performance. I ended up installing much larger Pajero discs which fixed the braking issue

Are you sure its 240c? Not 240F? That seems far higher than I've read only about ideal ATF fluid temperatures.

I think the proportioning valve no longer required when they went ABS around 2012. My recollection with ATF temps is that when you get to about 140 deg C, the warning light comes on. Would be curious to know how much weight gets added with your ARB bar. I went the TJM commercial bar and took off 26kgs of bumper while adding 63kgs of bullbar, so added 37 kgs overall. But I don't run a winch. And I wouldn't worry too much about flex on a desert trip.
@TeamBulletOffroad
@TeamBulletOffroad 4 месяца назад
Thanks for the feedback, yes I will weigh everything, and yes your right about not needing flex out in the middle, 2022 still had the valve on the utes, no chance on that theory re temps, if im near 100 degrees towing the motos, that trip when I towed bullet to Mudgee if you remember egts were near 650 the auto temps would have been red red hot!!!!

Proportion valve must been random models - just had another look - certainly none on my 2019 VDJ78.

@@TeamBulletOffroad Don't want to dwell on this, but I also looked at the Toyota parts listing for the 2022 VDJ79 and although the proportioning valve is pictured, it is listed as "not applicable". I've never seen one on a 70series with ABS.
