Pulling the project indoors to avoid the Florida weather swings. Pressure washed the frame and partially fitted the body to the frame. Next, I'll begin to brace the body to alleviate the existing twisted cabin and begin patch panels.
Thanks for sharing, Larry! She may be a bit rough at the moment, but the potential is dripping off of this little beauty faster than the Florida rain! 'Looking forward to seeing your updates! Bro Harry
@torquealleygarage I may need a few measurements along the way. I need another measurement from inside b piller to the other lower the better. And so I get it right tell me from a reference......as in 30in down from the lower edge of the door body bead. And I could use a rear to from jamb width Thanks
Glad to see you getting some work done Larry! Man, it's amazing how good that side shot looked with that body on the frame. That body is going to come together better than most people think it could, considering it's initial condition. It just shows what you can do if you can just dream a little. I think there are so many ways to build that car, but in it's condition, a streetable circle track / dirt track tribute car would be really cool! Of course, a gasser would be cool! A cool little custom with rear skirts, dragging the rear bumper would work too. Too many options for me to decide, either way, rough around the edges wont stop it from being cool.
I know....im starting to love this old rust bucket. We'll see...but I'll tell you, getting it out of the weather was essential to getting on it in earnest.
Larry. Here are some measurements that may help you in the alignment of your body reconstruction. The distance from B pillar to B pillar across the cab. Measured from a spot on the B pillar inner structure. Referenced to the square holes. Starting from the floor. 1- 51 5/8" 4- 52 3/4" 7- 53 3/8" 8- 53 3/8" 10- 52 3/4" Additional measurements that may help in rear body alignment are center to center of the fender cage nuts. 2nd- 47 5/8" 3- 54 1/8" 4- 52 1/2" ? Vertical braces impeding. 5- 50 1/4" Referenced front to rear. Good luck.
Mike...thanks soooo much. I should be back on it next weekend! I've been doing plumbing all weekend and I finally got my 96 f150 going....so not much old car werx happened for a few weeks. Appreciate those references very much. Can box it up now.
I just found your channel and I really love it - my only suggestion would be to add more talking AND I would prefer no music at all while you’re working on cars. I’d like you to at least explain more of what you’re doing while you’re doing it. The only music in the video that I would suggest would be maybe some intro music.
Welcome aboard. Point taken. I'll attempt to roll in your suggestions. I'm personally ok with more discussion however analytics tied to videos typically show that watchers drop off during discussion. Thanks for getting me thinking on it.
@@BoxcarsGarage well it’s not necessarily analytics could be other stuff but I personally would prefer no background music especially not as loud. BTW looks like you’re almost at 1000 subscribers so I’d like to say congratulations and I’m wishing you great success with your channel!
Appreciate that...reading between the lines here. I agree there could be other reasons with Why people drop out and why sometimes they stay. I will humbly submit that when you consider the time investment that's made to capture the material and edit while attempting to build....sometimes the result is less and sometimes it is more. But.... I do hope to bring the product up a notch or two. Keep me honest with that.
@@BoxcarsGarage respectfully I’m not saying anything that is between the lines- you have amazing projects that you are working on, and that’s proven by how many views you have, you have a lot of views on some of those videos, but with all the views you should have a lot of subscribers compared to other channels. I realize this is difficult work and at 1000 you are going to get monetized, it just seems there could be a way to connect with people more effectively so that you would get even more subscribers. But I just found your channel yesterday and I am enjoying it. Thank you.
@@hubridgell4511 Copy all....I've not done myself any favors with my sporadic frequency of content drops. But....I aspire to get that up as well. Appreciate ya.

Rodney I was brought up by a man that built his own cars on a coal miners wage and family of 4. Dad's car money was overtime and welding gigs out of his shop. While I appreciate GNRS and Riddler level cars....my path was set watching my father. Despite liking this car a little too much... it'll get sold. I'll be happy to get it stabilized.
