Purveyor of all that is old, unique, rusty, and sometimes a little odd. Swing by and you'll find me picking 'treasures', fabricating an original design, or updating my dream shop. I've got so many interests that my channel content wil continually cycle between between improving my workshop, recycling salvaged materials and transforming them into....something, and wrenching on my old cars. Within my shop I woodwork, weld, design, and....well, just piddle.. Drop on by Boxcar's Garage and hang out!
Sir, I'm going to need that one sitting in Phillip's Hot Rod garage when you are done with it. Anyway, you already know I think that is a sweet ride and I'm jealous. So, I'm going to be down to check it out in person soon LOL.
Dang dude, that thing is sweet! The interior looks late 50’s to early 60’s to me, if not someone took care to make it look period correct. I’d clean it up and do a sympathetic mechanical refresh plus match the wheels and rock it as is! I’m not a 33/34 guy but that car is awesome!
Thanks AJ....I'm in for rocking it as is. But there is a little mission creep happening. The past owner wedged this 289 in this car and I'm unsure if the front clip will work out "align" this may push me into my phase 2 for the car earlier that planned. I'll get into that on my next video. Stay tuned!
Super nice five window. Should clean up nice and back on the road again! F.Y.I. that front grill is a repop from South America. Compare the crank hole on that one to the sedan grill. Also the horizonal support bar behind the vertical bars is at the wrong angle. Compare the two side by side. If the grill on the sedan is in better shape and is a true Ford grill I would swap them. But you be the judge. Nicd Car!

I'm having same exact issue with my 2015 3.5l ecoboost. Been sitting for a year and half, starting it, driving it around the block until wrench light illuminates because of this. For 1st year Ford had a part shortage, I literally couldn't get the part. I called every dealer in a 5 state area who had back orders up to 83,000 of these parts. I'm going to now get mine but I need to know one thing before I begin this job. Did you have to have the ecu or tcm refreshed to accept the new part??? Word has it you must refresh the computer to accept the new part or the permanent code 0720 and any associating will not allow the ecu to recognize the new part. Also they are now calling this part the "conductor plate" and supposedly are coming with a small gasket to go over the leads to protect them from any shavings or particles causing the part to short and throw the code?
Hinge needed twisted towards back of car which would open gap and twisting top would push door down back and down definitely need cross braces across door for each Hinge 2 bottom Hinge
@@BoxcarsGarage Oh yeah! Love that tune and the sister song that goes with it as well. That ride is cool as hell also. Nice video, please don't stop making them.
Hey Boxcars I have just subscribed to your channel. I have a 47 Plymouth that is rougher than a cob and it's nice to finally find a channel that fits my car. Question are you going to create a Playlist for your 36 Ford coupe? I will be watching. Thanks Bruce from Hersey Michigan
I'm replacing the vinyl roof on my Fordor right now. Removing the vinyl has unearthed some rotted wood, but nowhere near as bad as yours. Weighing up the options of which path to take, but after seeing your woodworking shop and the time it's taking I will avoid complete replacement at all costs. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Hey Larry. Rocker Pat told me about you so I thought I would check your shop out. I like what you are doing. I love the oldies. I have a 1954 Fargo 1/2 ton and I'm currently trying to restore a 1940 Buick. I am far from a pro but I am learning as I go. So maybe if I pay attention to what you are doing, maybe I'll learn something. Thanks for sharing.👍👍🍁
Hey thanks....im like you...learning and willing to go for it. Fargo is one of those that intrigue me. I'm personally a Nailhead fan!!! Salute to Rocker Pat!
Appreciate the compliment...I'm attempting to make something out of this but I'm also working on becoming more proficient in basic tasks... just takes time
