It’s commonly understood that most long term jail habitants leave as immature as they entered jail (mentally). That said, I’m not completely surprised that the guy is mentally close to the 18/19 year old’s level. He cannot do anything for most women his age. This man went to prison at what 18? He’s emotionally stunted so , yes, his physical age is in his 30s …but mentally, he’s 19-20 himself! Doesn’t make it right but I get it. I truly believe he feels like he’s her protector. Also, is she in a mental hospital? I hope so. She needs to get help for all she’s been through and treatment for her mental illness.

This is my sons father. He himself is mentally unstable and abusive. He beat my ass from age 14 til he went to prison when u was 17. I hope this poor girl can get away from him and get back with her family. And my son is not 18 he is a minor and I wish he wouldn’t speak on my child who is doing perfectly fine without him.

In the 1st interview he called her a “little baby” , but when it comes to talks of their romance he then says she’s grown. She’s not. To say she has the same mental function and reasoning as an full grown adult is dangerous, especially with her mental health condition. She’s young and legal, but she very clearly communicates in an even younger way. She needs help not a romantic partner or boyfriend. I understand she’s beautiful and vulnerable , but she can be helped with out having to become romantically involved with someone. That’s even more important for her to learn considering she was kidnapped only weeks before meeting this guy. I don’t think he is a bad guy at all, just not fully there either. And it’s not altruism. I don’t think he would intentionally hurt her , but this dynamic is not healthy. Be helpful without trying to be romantic partners.
I was homeless in Denver Colorado at age 11 years old and I had a 22 year old boyfriend who thought I was 16. He did protect me and yes took my v but without him I know for sure I would have been dead, beaten, and/or impregnated. When he found out how old I was he made me go home. I never saw drug use around me even though I know it was happening in hindsight.
On one hand he spend all that time in prison so his mentality is in her age group but on the other hand he knows she’s a beautiful girl and she can be easily manipulated. I hope she’s with her family and get the help she deserves 💕
