I had my two girls at 19 and 24. My oldest daughter (34) passed away in car accident on 12-24-2018. She left behind 6 beautiful kids, in which hubby and I are raising 5 of them. Ages 20,18,15,10 and 9.Let me tell you Crystal!!!! Raising kids the second time around at age 57 is DEFINITELY Not The NORM-but it’s our new normal. I had my thyroid removed at 20 years old due to Cancer. It was very hard to conceive but God gave me a son at 27. He is 36. You can do this. ❤️

I just had a baby 5 months ago and I am now 36 my birthday was a couple weeks ago. I have a 8 almost 9 yr old. This pregnancy was very different from the first. I was so much more tired and it took a greater mental toll. My spouse started happy and then end up not supportive. Its been a hard time but the Lord is my strength.

I'm so happy for you!!! Here's my quick story. Had my 1st at 18, 2nd at 21. Divorced after 5 yrs marriage. After 10 yrs, re-maried, had my 3rd at 37, my 4th at 39 (7 days before turning 40!) It's definitely different in so many ways. There's pros & cons to having them early and later in life. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy😆😆

Hi Crystal, I was three weeks shy of being 37 when I had my 4th child. I had a 18, 16, and 15 yr Olds in high school. It was the easiest pregnancy, and she has been a joy to us. She is 31 now and her siblings are in their 40s. I have 2 grandchildren 27 and 18. So she became an aunt at 4 and 12. You will be fine and I am happy for you. Congrats ❤

Congrats to you Crystal! I had my first pregnancy at 36 and had her at 37! she is my only child, but she is a grown woman now, and she is having her first baby at 29. I never had any of the morning sickness, the only thing I went through in my 8th month, I had to go on bed rest due to spotting vaginal bleeding, other than that I had a healthy baby, she was a big baby, 9 lbs 7oz, and I had her vaginally! it was a happy and emotional journey, but I was blessed, God gave me a beautiful daughter.

I had my last child at 38...almost 20 years after my first...the pregnancy was easy breezy. I was so much more chill and experienced. I hope you enjoy this miraculous time in your life. Sending prayers to you and your family. God bless.

Congratulations!! I had my second baby 13 years after my first, I was 41 and loved it. I was able to identify and document all of the milestones happening to me. I dressed to the nines every chance I got ( nurse uniform m-f ). I am now 60 and finally get to be a grandma! I was feeling maternal again because both of my boys are adults now and not seeking maternal guidance all the time. So for the last several years I've been telling them I want a puppy or grandbaby for Christmas, my birthday, and mother's day. Got a card from my oldest and his wife for Christmas with a US pic saying my birthday wish will come true for my birthday in April. I'm SOOO EXCITED!! The 19 year old said he was glad his big bro came through because his timeline for that doesn't start until he's 40...LOL!!

Awwwww congratulations mama! What a blessing and great news! I'm happy for you and I rejoice in your happiness too. Crystal, don't listen to others. God has a plan for this baby and for whatever His reason was, He blessed you in His time. Enjoy and live in the moment. People will always have something negative to say. I remember when I found out I was pregnant at 36, I thought I was having a mental breakdown. My nerves were fried and my patience was short. I was snapping at people to the point I didn't like myself. I called my doctor and asked him to prescribe something for my nerves, the nurse told me he wanted me to have a pregnancy test first. I couldn't believe it. I got to the lab, took the rest and went home. The next day on my first break I called for the results, they weren't ready. I called at lunch same thing. I called on my way home, no results. The best day I went through the same thing; calling and no results. On my way home I stopped at a CVS and I bought a test. It seemed like before the stream went through, it showed I was PREGNANT!! At the time I was in disbelief and a bunch of thoughts ran through my mind. I have 2 kids who were in elementary and soon to be in middle school and here I was, starting over. On top of this, my heart ached because my mom passed away after my daughter was born (she was 5 months old) and my mom wouldn't be here to walk this journey with me. I didn't get the love from others, it was why? My mom always said God doesn't make any mistakes and I was made to feel as if He had. I had to be happy for myself.

Crystal. Girl I had my second baby at 39. You'll be fine and you already know, The Most High up above gives us our blessings in his time. Don't be surprised. I had to go to a specialist for high risk pregnancy because I had a short cervix but other than that, I was fine. A LOT more tired and my body didn't snap back like it did with my older son...who is 14 years older than my 10 year old 🤣🤣If anything else...my 10 year old keeps me YOUTHFUL because I HAVE TO exercise and stay active with him. He's a Cancer too so there's plenty of affectionate moments, which I adore🤣🤣

My mom hade me when she was 36 my sister was 13 my mom didn’t understand why at 36 she was having a baby at her age but God knew that I would be greatest helper to my mom when she got older and sick I was right, left, front, and back person at all time up until we part ways 12 years ago. Now I had my one and only son at 35 and he my greatest helper and what a blessing it’s is

I had my first child at 30 and my second at 32. But I have a family member that had her first baby at 44 and they are doing wonderful!

My cycle always came on like clockwork and I almost knew immediately something was different. My daughter is now 18 and in college. Time keeps moving.

I had my 33 year old (34) in April at 20, less than 2 months before I turned 21. My 19-year-old (20 in July) not long after I turned 35. Both of my sons were preemies, weighing in at 4.5 lbs and 4.12 lbs respectively. I was a stressed out divorcee with my older son, rushing through life. When my younger son joined us, I was very intentional about enjoying everything, living in the moment no matter what was going on. I feel so blessed to be able to have them both at the different times in life that I did. I am just waiting on grandbabies now. Congratulations to you and your growing family, Crystal. 🙏🏾🎉

Crystal I never comment but I am similar to u. I have had my thyroid removed as well... I had my daughter 17years after my son. And 10years after having my thyroid removed. My son is now 19 and my daughter is 2. I was 37 when I had my daughter. I really wish they didn't call it geriatric pregnancy though. I did deliver my daughter 4 weeks early due to Ugr. Uterine growth restrictions. I was induced baby girl was small but didn't have any complications. Thank God and Congrats to you.

I had my son at the age of 34. The ended up divorced 9 months after my son was born. I didnt have much support while pregnant. He is now 9 yr and my pride and joy. I would tell people my children are having children what am I going to do with a baby. And then I realized my son was a gift from GOD. I had people tell me that he was a change of life baby or I shouldn’t have gotten pregnant all kind of crazy stuff. CONGRATULATIONS Crystal I had my babies 10years apart. No joke I cried cried prayed because I didn't have anything left in the baby line everything had to bought a new. My children were angry at first but they soon came around, my partner then my husband later was not very much inclined but soon after realized I didn't do this on my own. Long story short you be HAPPY God makes no mistake He knows what's best for us . I can't way to meet in person I'll be making an appointment soon. She was born healthy which I thank GOD for.. Due to my age, they did recommend genetic testing. Your still young and healthy. From his initial response to your pregnancy, he was probably in shock. He'll most likely spoil the baby rotten lol

I once worked with a woman who had her first child at 40. She was concerned about her age too. But when her son was born, he was completely healthy, with no complications. As he grew up, I found him to be more mature than other children his age.

I was pregnant @ 40 with a 15 year old. It took me a while to grab a hold of being pregnant. Afterwards, I had to remember that I had a kid in a car seat again. Every time I got in the car, I had to remember my son was in the back seat, so I would not leave him in the car.

I only have two children but I had my last child at age 38... 11 yrs difference between the two. All I remember is that I had to burp a lot and I could smell red magic markers!
