I think I spent the bulk of that 2nd sequence looking around and up the side of the mesocyclone. These 360 videos are _so helpful_ for learning storm structure and behavior as a whole. Even just clicking around on my computer instead of using a VR mask, this is so frickin immersive.
I totally agree, just made a nearly identical comment about the 360 video’s value as a learning tool. I’ve been an amateur met for 15 years, and can still get disoriented by supercells and/or mis-identify features. This type of footage allows us to re-live real storm environments in real-time, which is at least as important (and probably moreso) as learning the theory, how to read radar, and how to identify storm features from stills or fixed-camera footage.
Incredible footage. This is SO helpful as a learning tool. The ability to look around in real-time helps us examine the full storm as if we were there. This can help teach storm structure, supercell feature identification, etc. Great work, thank you for this!
Awesome footage!! But there's no way I'd be out there doing that, I'm just not sure if it takes guts or craziness to do this kind of filming!! Stay safe!!! 🙏🏻💪🏻🏆
This is awesome man. Keep grinding. This is absolutely amazing footage. I really think that this type of footage combined with drone footage will be the next thing.
Be careful guys that was a massive tornado out there it's getting closer where you at guys back up look at the clouds it too dark watching from Philippines
