I am watching this video on my big screen, while typing my comments on my laptop. As always, I am taught, entertained, and encouraged to try something new. Thank you, Michelle.
I just love ❤️ this succulent garden 🪴 so colorful & actually love the side of the bowl. So much fun watching you make & mix the different colors. If you make 2 cacti & glue them together you will get a 3D. Your going to start a succulent garden trend. Thank you Michelle
I love how this turned out. T resin drips on the side adds another great touch. Your colors and the stones are great together. I think it turned out really pretty.
Michelle I absolutely love this!! Oh how beautiful it would be with some pink, turquoise, gold, and white on the outside of the bowl. Succulent pots seem to always be bright with colors!
Michelle, this is so cool! The best thing about this planter is you don't have to prune it! Or water it! Or worry about the leaves being burnt by the sun. Or killing it. 😂😂😂 I I think anything could be used to take up empty space instead of foam. Rags soaked in resin. If you like nuts in the shell, then the shells. A couple cups of gravel from your driveway. It doesn't have to be pretty since you are covering it up. But it does have to be dry so it doesn't rot. I love how this planter turned out ❤❤❤. It's so colorful!
Those turned out cute, Michelle. What about adding a frog or turtle to your bowl with the succulents. You could also use the floral foam blocks to fill the bowl mostly & use the gravel like you did. Like I even suggested to Marva is using fairy lights with the rocks/gravel so you could light it up as a table center piece or placed on your porch or even a deck. Marva placed a adorable lizard in her garden but frogs & turtles are cute too. You both made very beautiful gardens. I have my bowl & succulents in my Amazon cart! You both are quite inspiring!! ❤Have a great night , Michelle!
The resin flowing down the sides reminds me of water like you over watered the plants or like they were outside during a rain shower and it overflowed. I kind of like the effect. The succulents turned out lovely.
I did it with the hand mold this year . And gave them as Christmas gifts ,but I used real succulent in stones and dirt so they have to water them. It was a big hit.
I really like the idea you came up with filling it with spray foam to fill it. That makes it much lighter than all rocks. I also liked in the beginning how you used the same cup to keep mixing your colors. Lastly, I thought it was very sweet of your hubby to doctor up the bottom. ❤I’m gonna email you about this project btw 😉
Hi ! I have never commented before but i love your videos! I just wanted to say you make beautiful pieces! The spray foam ..that has happened to me, I buy the plastic cemetery vases and make them pretty for my mom's grave and use the spray foam to hold the flowers and keep water out , I ruined a vase not knowing to do the spray foam in stages!! I've never seen anyone do this before. After another of fails, I figured out how to make them
Michelle, I have these molds and I found if you spritz in some alcohol before you pour, it helps to get rid of the bubbles. These all look fantastic and I love true finished product.
I use tiny paper cups that I get from my local discount shop. They have no ridges and are better for the environment. I’m in Australia, but I’m sure you can find them in the USA
These are super cute! I've added the molds to my cart 😊...if you fill your mold a smidge more, you'll get a flatter bottom. The resin shrinks as it cures.
This looks amazing!! I totally love it! I used to worry about little mistakes, but if you look at some things professionally made in the shops, a lot of them have flaws in some way. Just love what you do and keep doing it! 😃💙
To fill up the space inside the bowl, try floral foam? You could press the bowl upside down on the piece to get your size and then cut it. Also, I would scuff up the bottom of the cacti to help adhesion to the resin gravel mix. I really liked this project, my mom had succulent planters when I was growing up.❤
It’s gorgeous, the little succulents are very pretty. If you wanted to use the cactus, you could make 2 and stick them together. Just a thought. Lovely project x❤
Hi Michelle, too cute for words. Love it! ❤ It was so much fun watching you mix colours and play with the molds. Can you glue 2 of the cacti 🌵 together to make a 3D one? For your bowl you could try to fill the bottom of the bowl with packing peanuts or flower styrofoam and just a bit of spray foam over the top to lock it in place. Don’t use the water oasis foam as the spray foam will not stick to it. If you don’t mind the weight you could also try plaster for the base. Last thought is you could make a circle of cardboard that fits in the bowl, and even go as far as making as a “lid” for the bowl.
I had a chair delivered and it was surrounded by Styrofoam slabs My right brain said "throw it away", but my New England skinflint genes said "save half of it. You never know ..." So, guess I will cover it in packing tape.
Very pretty! That would look awesome as a water fountain and the drips on the bowl would just look like water running down. You would need another plate underneath to hold the water though. Love it. 😍
Amazing, I love the things you create. Always watch your videos looking for ideas, inspiration and how to do it. Love the idea of fairy lights and some sort of little creature in it. Definitely making this project for my daughter in law for her birthday. I collect sea glass from the beaches where I live and thought that would also make a great topping instead of the gravel. Will try foam pebbles or even sand as a base, although this will maybe need more resin too. Thank you so much. 😙
