Finishing up the Intercooler install on my 99 #Pontiac Grand Prix #GTP. Mostly went well, but was a bit challenging.

@@SalemDoyle Cut those areas out with a grinder. Should only need about an inch square of material removed on each side.

Nice job! You can run your throttle body upside down for a bit more clearance there if that helps.

Yep, Series 3 TB pattern is a rectangle, so flip it as needed, and cleanly route wires/cables/hoses as needed.

I didn't even think about the alternator bracket and other fitment issues. Looks like it still fits pretty good overall, but makes sense the L67 engine bay is super crammed.

A lot of people don't run the alt bracket when intercooled. I did. All I had to do was oval out the hole on the alt side. Not too hard.

I put some washers on the rear of the hood so I could clear the belt wrap. Now I close my hood like it’s still stock lol. And also make sure the pulley of the belt wrap is screwed on tight. I bought one and the screw apparently wasn’t tight enough and it made the belt slide too much. Looks good tho!

The minor change won't hurt much, and can be adjusted as necessary in alignment if you're concerned.

Hello Mr.Doyle, weather u respond to this or not is up to you but i would find it very much helpful if ya did, anyway i have an 04 grand prix comp g with a series 3 and m90 setup, would it be possible to run this intercooler just like you showed? and if i were to drop pully size from stock to lets say 3.5 with no mufflers and a cold air intake. would it be problem? much appreciated love the vid was very useful

As far as running the intercooler, it would be very similar, with dropping a pulley. Every car is different. You need to be able to scan for k r and then go from there

Should hav ported your LIM while u where @ it ! All u need is a jigsaw ! Serious i did mine just cut a rectangle..

I dont even have the alternator brace on my car and it seems to be fine, although that is non supercharged so there is a little less belt tension

Looking good Salem I'm super jealous. Are you planning on a switch to E85 anytime in the future or leave it as is? With your mods you should easily be able to hit 350whp I would say? Blows my mind that these cars weren't intercooled from factory

Salem did you have good luck with the 07 gaskets? No trimming involved ? I tried the right stuff rtv and had both coolant and small vac leak should have used Ulta grey on my last 2 it worked flawless but I liked the automatic cheese can type of the right stuff !😩

No issues with the gaskets so far. Still leak free

I hope this isn't a dumb question. But can I put dexcool in my main cooling system & put the green coolant in my intercooler? I'm asking to make sure there's no interjection cuz they can't mix

Hay Salem r they aliminium gaskets for a gen 3 ? If yes can u giv the pt no please. Ive tried gm direct in the USA but got nothing..

The only supercharger mounting gasket for the gen 3 is the paper one. Only the gen 5 uses a metal one.

I ran into the same problem with the fill kit interfering with the fuse box cover. What I did was cut the fuse box cover in half just before it hit the fill kit and just installed half of it. On the fog light I had to grind the bracket to fit. Also bled it from the front, the refill kit was a pain in the ass

Did you plug those 2 coolant ports on the top of the LIM? and what gasket/sealant did you use? Also im a lil confused on the wiring of the pump, i have a used SSIC waiting to put on and its already wired and rigged for fuse box i juat dont know where what goes.

The two ports were already plugged from when i did the gen 5 swap. I used 07 stock supercharger gaskets. No rtv except on the tb adapter. The pump is pretty easy. Red to a switched power source. The other wire to ground.

I am on e85 in my 05 impala ss with a gen5 blower. Got the newer zzp fuel logs on that was a pain lol. Question is I just got the belt wrap kit looks like it will hit the fuel rail end do you know anything about that? Also did you have to get a different belt size to use the belt wrap kit

I did have to change belt sizes. Mine didnt hit the fuel rail

Bro i thought i fix my miss fire on my 08 prix i did everything i can think of change out the plugs ACDelco Platinum change out the wires changed out 3 coils changed out the ignition control modular it fixed it for a while now I came back I don't know what to do please help me u dont think it has nothing durlast parts do u

Start with the basics. Is it a single cylinder. If so check spark. Check compression.

Ok. Check compression next. If compression is good its probably a bad injector

Did you have to use a breather cap?? It says to I cant find any except zzp and it takes about 2 weeks to get anything cause I am far away.

wanting to install a full header exhust on my '04 GT2, 2 get more performance of course, but also to give her a little bit more "Beefy" sound NOT "Ricey" and keep the orignal exhust tips any sugestions on witch brand to choose, what would you use???
