Jaylen brown is better at being the player Tatum wants to be in his head but he's not better overall. This finals showed that Tatum should be playing more like Lebron as a point forward who does a little of everything and takes less jumpshots. If he had better shot selection, took less needless shots and drove to the hole more Tatum would unlock his true game. He's trying to be Kobe but he's closer to Bron(from a playstyle perspective)

You know it’s funny. Because this is a whole podcast dedicated to the Celtics lead by Dehls. And as a Heat fan, Joel just always says the most outlandish stuff. There’s no way that seeing one season of Lively should think “yep he’ll definitely be a better defender than Bam in a couple years”. Like we did this shit last year with Joel saying that JJJ was better as a defender than Bam. Bam guards 1-5 and he was a DPOY candidate. He’s first team all defense and is one of the best defenders in all of the NBA. Rim protecting isn’t all of the defense, otherwise we’d look at the blocks leader every year and give them the award. Lively is a good defender but I don’t like Joel talking down about Bam like what he does isn’t impressive. Thankfully Drew stepped in there
Tatum pretty easy. Luka has 0% chance to stop Tatum 1v1 in the halfcourt in open space. At least Tatum has like a 5% chance to affect Luka’s shot because he is such a great defender. Also Luka’s playmaking is a huge reason why there is a gap between him and Tatum as a player in an NBA game. But in a 1v1, Luka’s passing has 0 impact in such a context. So Tatum doesn’t have to defend the pass against Luka at all, he is able to send his full defensive focus attention on Luka’s shot without worrying about Luka sneaking a pass somewhere
