The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 is a carbine/submachine gun, chambered in 9mm, manufactured by Czech gun manufacturer CZ (Ceská zbrojovka Uherský Brod). The variant A1 is a submachine gun and features a select fire switch (safe, single shot, three-round burst, full auto). The semi-automatic version is called S1. The CZ Scorpion Evo 3 is a blowback design chambered in 9mm (9×19mm Parabellum) with a polymer frame. The standard version comes equipped with a folding, adjustable and removable stock and multiple Picatinny rails for the addition of optics, lights and lasers. It is the third generation of CZ's line of small submachine guns which started with the CZ Škorpion vz. 61 in the year 1961.

Probably is the first "non pistol" gun to be equiped with a firing pin block safety. The H&K UMP has a firing pin safet too,, but its safety is hammer activated, not trigger actived like on the EVO.

Does this design make the recoil softer or harsher on the CZ Scorpion? Is this a reliable gun with most ammo?

I've owned a few. The recoil is quite abundant because of the huge bolt but managing it is so easy, Its hard to give you a solid idea how it feels until you try it

Ive owned one for a while too and have put just about everything on the market through it without any issue but yeah the recoil is about the same as an AR-15. More than some other PCCs but not bad at all.
