It took you guys this long to get 3d cockpits and you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to do it.. LOL Epic Fail. Just do Microsoft Flight Sim.. best one is X or perhaps 2004 a Century of Flight.
Hi Divergent, "LOL Epic Fail" is a little harsh, I think you missed the point here. This 3D cockpit is for airplanes without 3D cockpits designed and built by people like you and me (not professional developers) and put up on X-Plane.org/forum offered for FREE! Knowing how hard and time consuming building an airplane can be I'm amazed that X-Plane/forum offers thousands and thousands of FREE airplane. The problem being 3D cockpits are very hard to design and build so they can only offer 2D probably because they haven't learned how to make 3D YET. But I've noticed a lot of FREE airplane on forum now have 3D cockpits so my little ridiculous cube cockpit will eventually go the way of the Dodo but will have served it's purpose. I flew Microsoft simulators starting with their first some 30 years ago on an Amiga 1000. I finally gave up on FSX several years after they stopped supporting it and switched to X-Plane. What's really nice about X-Plane is they offer Plane Maker and you can make modifications to airplanes, even make your own, which I have done, I'm glad I switched :-) FSX and especially 2004 are very outdated (I have them both) and they can't compare to the latest simulators available today.
