I still gotta rock with my WeatherTech floor mats for my 2011 Honda Civic. I keep my seat all the way back and they cover the entire floor and the raised sides are a game changer for protecting my car. They are slick but my feet never slide once I'm inside the car and they were $215 for the front and back but I love the design, material and look so they were worth it. Great review 👍
Thank you for your comparison, the points you raised against the weathertech mats are what made me decide to get husky mats. The issue of feet sliding on the weathertech would also be an issue for me and also the length.
Good video guy's, I had Weathertech in my 2011 F150 Lariat SuperCrew for 8 yrs, they fit really good for awhile but then the height on the sides stood away from the walls of the floor pan. I didn't like the hardness and slickness. I just bought a 2020 F150 and plan to go with Husky Liners.
Thank you. I believe my decision lies in your "skid-non skid" critique. I have foot issues and that is a huge factor. One thing you didnt mention ( curious minds want to know ) that others did was full dead plate coverage. Back mats look like a joke but I'd only have a gallon of milk on it at most.
Nice video. I went with the husky just because I didn't like the high sides on the weather tech and after watching your video I'm glad I went with the husky. They seem more flexible and better grip, plus they're longer for taller people who have to have the seat all the way back.
I pick Weathertech because with the material, odors don't hold in the hard rubber and also dog hair does not stick since its almost like plastic, they are also easier to clean and look new while the soft rubber ones have dirt that digs in the soft material.
Lay a small microfiber towel down at the back amid the weather techs and run it under the mat that’s what I did in my car since my Camry mats didn’t go all the way back and I need my seat all the way back......hope this helps nice review I’m waiting for my huskie and weather tech mats to ship so I can compare as well for the impala
This is a really good review, probably the most decisive one I have seen. I will pick the huskies when I am ready for new liners. Another key takeaway for me is that JD is a little troll, I'm glad you covered that @11:30 haha
You should try OEDRO’s floor mats. They got the high sides and the length that you want. Kust is another good alternativ, the material is similar to 3d maxspiders. Not my favorite look but it does what it is supposed to
I just picked up a set of Husky mats front and back for $85 on sale. For the price I payed I feel like I couldn't pass and it was a easy choice for me. Normally they were going for $133 and the WeatherTech are going for $179.
Weathertech has two types of floor mat for my Jeep Liberty. Laser measured and basic. I bought the basic "All Weather" mat, the passenger side mat did not have a grommet hole for the anti-sliding hook. Which is disappointing.
So far the best one I’ve found that work for me has been the 3D Maxpider ( note there’s a few different names/companies etc that these mats are made for but if it has the 3D in it then it’s the same mats .. They have hight and length my only issue is the ones for the back seat doesn’t fit perfectly so you have to hold down mat when moving driver seat back but just like you there’s no room so no one sits in the back.. The look is better they almost look like a carbon fiber mat
👍Thanks for the tip on these I had the weather shield in my last car and just was looking for something different. I love 💕 the look of your recommendation and went ahead an bought a set - thank you! 🙏
Every vehicle is different. Weather tech fit absolutely perfect in some And others have little short comings like your car. The best thing about them Is they are durable. Others are too flimsy
Thanks for Sharing I should have watched this video before my purchase .. .. !!! this is helpful and informative when making such purchases.. the mats are def expensive ! I think I have few days to return . .. the sliding is my big issues and who wants sliding mats ?? ugh .. we want some comfort and protection ! .. my search is on.. Husky didn't really convince me yet.. they are made in America & that is wonderful .. but , can you please make better American product s. .. quality quality . .. dang ... there goes the excitement of receiving them ! .. Thanks boys p
I have Weathertechs in my Nissan Maxima and Huskys in my Toyota Tundra. My preference is the Huskys because the Weathertechs lose their shape on the sides and the Huskys do not.
I seen the Tuxmat yesterday, they seem to have solved a couple of problems for better a fitment with their design. Good review, you have me leaning toward the Husky mat over what appears to be way over priced Weathertech. Also Husky Weatherbeaters are 30% off right now.
Have tuxmat in Hyundai tucson. The fit is perfect and cover more carpet than weathertechs. Protects more area. Also not slippery. The downside is you have to wait until they are dry to pull them out or you will dump all the water everywhere onto your carpet and they are a pain in the ass to remove and to clean.
