The ball and socket joint finally gave way on my bicycle trailer. Since the trailer sees so much use, I had to find a solution. Why not 3D print the part?
It has been working perfectly! I got another trailer to replace it just in case, but still haven't needed it. Signs of wear are minimal. Very impressed with the PLA!
