@@ModelMarvels I've had a 3D printer for 7 years and have already printed a lot of "useful" and spare parts. Always on the lookout for "good" vehicles, I've flirted with old childhood favorites like the Space Eagle or the Comet (Capitan Future). I don't want anything ready-made, so it should be created in Fusion 360, then printed and then hanging over my desk. Somehow there is always no time for it. That's why I envy everyone who creates something like that. I printed a Panther Ausf A in 1:16 for my son last year, but the schedule only worked because I was in lockdown for 5 weeks and sat at home. At least Corona had something good there.
@@Andreas.Pfisterer Gambody is a good source. If we had to design as well as print we would never gay anything done. Well done for knocking out a Tiger from scratch. We knock up the odd part, such as the wing & spoiler for the 1/10 metro 6r4 but it's usually unseen parts to attach bodies etc
Thank you for your video. You are a very skilled builder of 3d printed Space:1999 Eagle! "... hundreds of hours..." Skillful and patient builder! The Eagle is an iconic spaceship and I'm happy to know that it is now also in the "world" of 3d printers. Thank you from Italy.
It would be awesome if NASA made a "space bus" type of space only shuttle that looked like the Eagle and it would garner a lot more interest and inspire the general public.
@@Del-Canada Hi. I think I may have had a diecast version many decades ago - probably worth something now if it hadn't been "crashed" numerous times! and no who is Sean Harris 🙂
@@ModelMarvels - well, do you think you could print up a more lightweight version with suitable modifications? I think it would make for a fun visual - and probably even a marketable toy!
Ugh, A few days that's for sure. Probably best not to time these things although I know the tracks alone on our 1/10 Rc tank were 70 hours of printing!
How would I go about getting the plans for it. I would love to print my own to build a remote control model? I am very new to 3D printing, any effort would be greatly appreciated.
Hi The original files are available from Gambody.com. when we can find the time to work out how to reduce the weight and keep it strong enough to fit motors we will let you know!
You know folks, I personally wouldn't mind, walking through a full sized functioning eagle. Someday. Maybe an architectural wizard, might be willing to create this very first, space 1999, eagle portal home. 😊😊 ✝️ 😊😊
Hmm, not sure yet. Have to do some repairs first. We resin printed all the engine parts (except nozzles) and they are sagging under their own weight - so an fdm reprint is required!
