What kind of sander did you use at 6:19? Looks like a dremel but the tip is flat?

looks amazing really well done a trick I have found for gold to really pop using a redish brown helps but i haven't done it in such large scale might be worth a try and see if it helps for other projects again awesome video

Ah, thank you so much! I usually do a base coat of black, I'll do some testing with reddish brown!!!

Any chance you can update the 3d model link? It leads me to a thai form that is no longer active. Super amazing work btw

What was the clearcoat you used to help level out the print marks. I can’t understand and the captioning says “xcc3d” which doesn’t show up for me anywhere 😂

It's XTC 3D. Its a self leveling resin that's made for 3D prints!

This is exactly what i was looking for my sword I 3d designed because I wanted to avoid making a silicon mold and using resin. I have 2 questions: 1. What filament did you use for the transparent part? 2. I have a gem on my sword the glows as well (orange/red), will watering down colored paint work as a transparent top coat for that as well?

I've thought about using resin - but you'd have to have a massive vacuum tube to get rid of bubbles. 😅 I used transparent PLA. I'd probably make the gem out of clear resin and mix in the coloured pigment. I'd suggest testing a few different methods to find something you like! I do experiment a lot for my cosplays. ^~^

@@byteprops Since you only put one led strip, was distributed nicely to the other side where there wasn't direct light?

@@xadiimagine Yes, you can still see the LEDs from the other side! It looks better because it's more diffused and you can't see the individual LEDs. (Diffusion is really difficult in such a tight space).
