Very true. The leverage angle is terrible for strength on the original T800. In reality , based on the design, he would probably not have been that strong. My next hand will be an eNable hand using everything I learned from this and input from viewers. So thanks for the input! Makes one really appreciate the human hand, doesn't it.

Indeed! I've been working on a heavy duty exosuit system for the last few days in 3ds Max. It seems linear hydraulics and a fully mobile shoulder joint are not harmonious....

+davidsirmons Aah, I can see them now. Wow! Good work! Your design moves all the complicated stuff to the back of the hand and out of harms way. It also has plenty of leverage. Cool organic feel to it to!. I would love to see it in action.

Thanks for the feedback. I've got a long way to go on it. Working on the thumb process off the palm now. As this is super heavy duty, and an exosuit meant to be 'worn' by a human, it won't have the same delicate articulation as the human hand. There are parts and circular hydraulics for the shoulder axes and elbow, not shown in those images, with fully designed inner function as well. In a few days I'll have more progress to show. At that point, I'll move on to the pumps/motors/transmissions I plan on using for movement.

If you need the full models, you can use the links in the description. You can find a finger sized mini Terminator arm at CG Trader. Materials can be hard to get..That does suck! I used springs from a buddy, chrome pipe from an old shower curtain, a piece of my vacuum pipe and some fishing gut... And obviously 0.5kg of filament... hardware stuff.. and ... stuff... Crazy!, crazy project!

Yes, that's what i mean. it's hard to get the chrom pipe, vacum pipe, etc. i'll buy or maybe printing hand with only 5 finger, i mean without arm pipe, but i'll trying to get the chrome pipe, because your stuff is really awesome bro, really.. Thanks! 👍 I used an old stainless steel car aerial, but aluminum would be a way easier option! If I made this now, I would use aluminum so a tiny hole could be drilled for the spring to attach to. And also so it can be easily cut, sanded and polished to fit. I hope it all goes well!

I don't go into much detail, but I used it to print the parts that handle the most stress, and no problems. Thanks!

Yeah, I couldn't find many replicas that move and are based on the design from the first movie, which was a working prop. So it was a no-brainier to modify that design for 3D printing as my first biggish project.
