Thanks for this. You rocked it! I'm putting on a 20-inch rear light bar. I'm using hood clamp light pod mounts on the top of the rear cargo door. This is going to help me wire it in. 🙏🇺🇸
06 h3 hummer 215 thousand miles. Mine just went out. Replacement will be here Sunday. Thanks for posting. Damn near while truck is brand new now. I've went on a replacement crazy phase LOL. Headlight lens rear and side lamps. All LEDs accept headlight. Front end suspension and etc has all been replaced. Etc. I know didn't have to being it wasn't broken. But it's a 06. I wanted to replace things before they got bad. I love the damn H3 😭😍😭😍. Most things you can do solo. Aka DIY. I feel like Jeep fans. They keep there trucks forever LOL. I'm still not done yet. Anyways thanks for this.
Just got my Hummer3 and love it!!! But concerned about the Play in the stering wheel. Is that normal? Great video's. I also found a leak coming from under the dash on drivers side 😡 Judy
I would have the steering shaft looked at sooner than later. The u-joints are known for going (it’s a wear item) as for the water leak there’s a few things that can cause that. Have the sunroof drains and EVAP drain checked and go from there. Best wishes with your new H3!
You may have fixed it already but it sounds like same issue I had. Rubber bushing were dry rot on steering rack. They replace whole rack and pinion bushing etc. No more play. Water issue! If you have a sunroof. Your going to need to take a screwdriver and screw out the inside of the sunroof drain hole. That way the water can drain freely. It's been know to clog with dirt and etc. When it clogs. Inside of truck leaks. There is a whole video step by step how to do This. Sadly the hose goes from sunroof to front driver side under the dash and passenger side under dash. So yeah this very well may be your issue.
People, you don't have to pull the entire door apart. Just pop the top trim out and there's enough room to pull it back to swap the light out. No need to dismantle everything.
anobar yes that can be done HOWEVER most people will break the door panel. So pulling the whole thing off to access the third brake light is the best option not to destroy the door panels.
Sorry you will have to work for that one. I have small hands so it was easy. But easier way after the fact was when I replace headlight lens. Once I took grill off and both headlight lens off. Everything was right there 😡😡😡. I was so damn pissed! If I had known this. I would've did it all at one damn time. 😆. But you can do it by taken front passenger and driver wheel well black pens out with a flat head. Pull black panel down. Use hands and twist light out. Hardest part was all the damn black pens under the front wheel lol. But I was able to get. Again more work but taken grill off and headlight lens off. Gives you all the room you need lol. Again I was so pissed. When I replace headlight lens and seen side markers right there easy access lol. 😡😡😂😂😂. As well as fog lights. Which I have to replace as well. But now I know. Lol
Im sure it is possible to modify the connectors or splice in a fourth brake lamp. the bigger issue would be routing the wiring if we're talking about putting the 4th lamp on the spare tire.
@@julievan260 I was wondering that as well. Because there is a spot where it can or was at one point before GM decided to place is up top. I always was wondering the same lol
This may be a strange question . I have a Hummer h3 2006 and my top third brake light is out on one side . I ordered a new one for it but is there another break light right behind the spare tire because it looks like something goes there.
I personally have not seen one with a third brake lamp there, but they may use that rear panel on a few different vehicles, if so, they cut production costs by producing them with both to use on a variety of different vehicles
Honestly it’ll depend on what you’re looking to do and what system is in your hummer. The regular sound system you can purchase a connector for from crux to add Bluetooth to your h3. But if you have a monsoon system unfortunately you’ll need to purchase an adapter and new head unit
Yeah everything is one unit. Filter and all. So if you change filter. Might as well change the whole unit. Which is exactly what you will have to do. You can't buy just filter. You will have to buy the whole unit. Aka fuel pump. 😭😭😭😭. O recently had it done. Then did research and yeah. Whole unit! Sorry.
