3rd Life is a Minecraft multiplayer server experiment started by Grian. Players are thrown into a tiny 700x700 world with almost no rules, except survive as long as possible.
1st Life: Player names are green. They are not supposed to initiate battle with anyone, only defend.
2nd Life: Same as 1st Life, except their names are yellow.
3rd Life: Player names are red. They get a new goal of eliminating the remaining players. Dying again means they are out of the game and series.

For some reason literally everyone is trusting Etho with their secrets. "Cleo stole the llama"! "We know where the last dark oak forest is" etc. As much as people try to make him into a bad guy, Etho is just that guy in the group who is on relatively good terms with everyone

my thoughts too, Etho has a ton of Charisma that makes him likeable and trustworthy...and he's one of the most likely to stab you in the back if it's every minecrafter for themselves.

@@bt1234567892010 agreed. He also possesses the intellect and clever thinking that lets him judge and optimize his combat. In the old UHCs I remember he would make use of terrain to protect himself and get the edge as much as he used strong equipment.

@@bt1234567892010 if I'm honest, I actually disagree with that a bit. Etho is more the type to turn a bit of a blind eye to his friends when it comes to direct confrontation. For instance, if it comes down to it, I don't expect him to go for someone like Tango, even if they don't have a sworn pact. He's more likely to set general traps. He's a relatively honorable player, which is why I always scoff when people peg him as a chaotic player. Chaotic sense of humor? Yes. Chaotic playing style? Less so. Honestly, I'd peg him as a true neutral type of player ;)

Server really needs a "safe zone." Everyone seems to trust Etho, so he can make something like a bar where everyone has to leave their weapons at the door and eat something or chat for a while. I just really want Chef Etho on this server though, so I'm biased.

I think a super-secret base is important. Especially after some people get down to their third life, you don't want them to know where to put traps. Also after you hide traps you should sell the locations of the traps to other players. It is a good business practice and then if you kill anyone with the traps they will have less on you because they should have bought the location. Also, you should hire yourself out to make traps for other people. That way you not only make money but also know where the other person's traps are.

this is actually amazing. especially because of how small the world is. Although, if anyone discovers it, it becomes a huge risk as it is one of the easiest ways to get someone into a guaranteed death trap.

The hard part is activating it. If you're being threatened in a specific location, like your base, you can use it to escape elsewhere. You could also use something like a target block (with a bow) to trigger it from within a certain proximity. Or, you could have someone you trust use it if you're ever in danger (maybe using a codeword in chat). Of course, the problem with all of these, as James mentions, is that anyone can theoretically activate it without your consent; and if you happen to be low on health, you'll die. Still, I too would love to see it.

Yeah the regular uploads are really nice I’d love it if etho had like one regular series, although I think he’s mentioned how he used to get burnt out trying to upload regularly. Maybe having a day or two but it didn’t have to be anything in particular, obviously we have this atm so wouldn’t expect something like that now.

Etho is a great listener. He listens well, and when it is his turn to speak, he speaks only positivity that soothes the people around him. I think at least with the players that come from Hermit craft... is that they are too trusting. They haven't yet broken out of the Hermit craft rules and mindset yet. Some are starting to change their way of thinking but it may be too slow for when the 3rd lifers start roaming around. This is giving me such hunger game vibes.

I prefer your travelling nomad-like playstyle. Nobody can raid you this way. It lacks storage, but once you get yourself an ender chest and a silk touch pick, it might be manageable. Maybe having a few very small hidden bases around would be cool.
