Both women are looking beyond beautiful here. The clothes the jewels the furs and the hats. Linda is a timeless beauty and Joan is just simply divine and both played these parts to perfection. There is nothing on TV like it these days and the reboot is a pathetic joke that should have been canceled after episode 1
You have to remember, the reboot takes place in current time. Nothing will EVER touch this show in the same way nothing will touch Dallas. We live in a totally different world now. Considering that, I think the reboot is OK.
I fell out at how matter of fact Alexis was when she said, "Don't walk away from me. I have got something to say to you." Miss Alexis always said what was on her mind, and she didn't care who liked it. 😂
I admire Alexis' ability to get through life and fight for herself and take up responsibility for whatever she's held responsible for. On one hand she's a very weak, coniving, undisputedly rude and small person, on another level she's smart, witty, quick thinking, good at problem solving and getting exactly what she wants.
But that black and white suit and matching hat and shoes in her first onscreen appearance😲..Joan Collins's outfit began the 1980's fashion trends that night!
LMAO. As rich as the two of them are, even with their bank accounts put together and all of their assests liquidized, even they couldn't afford to replace all that jewelry up in that shop. That necklace alone Krystle had on in the beginning was worth more than most people's lives. When Blake got that bill, there would've been two ex- Mrs. Carringtons THAT day.
Nah, Blake is an oil Tycoon, he's like an American version of an Arab Prince , he could probably buy the store and its parent company. Sometimes, I think Blake got off watching his former wife and current wife getting into those catfights, imagine being a powerful man who is fought over by 2 beautiful women.
One of my favourite scenes from the series. They both looked gorgeous and the use of colour in their wardrobe to depict their contrasting personalities was spot on. Alexis in head to toe power black while Krystle is in earth tones.
"Nothing can ever hurt me or make me unhappy again." Remember that three years from now when you catch your *other* missing child in bed with your husband, Alexis.....
Alexis is manipulative, lies, tries to hurt people, and is obsessed with creating this delusion that she is better than most people. Despite all that, her outfits are to die for and I guess her crazy personality is what made this show interesting.
For a change? She almost always got the last word, and her parting words were always the best. "If you want a rematch, just whistle.....if ya can!" is legendary.
Stop giving Alexis information, stop giving her knowledge about your life, get rid of the staff and all Alexis's supporters should be sent away packing. Blake has enough responsibility to deal with creating paying jobs for the workers in the oil industry. Tsk, tsk Crystal just be quiet.
That's always been the core of it: Blake was a terrible husband to her, so Alexis seeing him practically worship this new blond thang absolutely riles her. It's not even about Krystle, it's all about Alexis!
joajn collins shook her ehad so much i hoped it would fall off. she was jealous of krystal and who could blame her,she had the most handsome man as her husband and alexis had those boring men who only wanted to get her into bed.
Someone needs to post the scene before this one in the previous episode when Adam meets Alexis for the first time after his kidnapping 25 years ago. It's why she's in such a good mood here. This scene is fantastic but that one is one of the greatest in all Dynasty history.
Sad, but true Blake and Alexis on dynasty were always bitter and unhappy all the time. In the 1991 reunion movie Blake and Alexis finally found peace and happiness in their lives.
Great scene. Both women look phenomenal. Blake's a bit late with that 2nd anniversary present though, this scene was set in November 1982 and he and Krystle were married in May 1980!
Don't forget the first marriage didn't count because Krystle wasn't legally divorced from her first husband, Mark Jennings. Linda and Joan are AMAZING together.
Love La Joan…however, Linda does not get enough credit. Ms. Evans was fantastic the first 5 seasons…when they wrote for her & Alexis/Krystal scenes. The show fell off by season 6 and was limping along by season 9.
Krystal to Alexis : " I'm a natural blonde and I choose a color that compliments my hair, You're a brunette, and you choose a color that matches your soul '
Incidentally, did Alexis suddenly develop super-vision? There's no way she could have seen how good the necklace looked on Krystle from behind her with only that relatively small mirror angled in a different direction.
@@skaterboy-cz9wj There's unrealistic and there's unrealistic. I can suspend my disbelief that Alexis would become the CEO of a multibillion dollar corporation without making any major missteps (particularly since the show at least nodded in the direction of showing a few growing pains along the way), but simple things like staging within a scene or continuity from shot to shot.....yeah, I'm going to nitpick those all the time.
Linda Evans & Joan Collins were two talented & beautiful actresses, although they had a very different beauty & different way of performing as actresses, although i bear in mind their different assigned roles
