I was in B Co. I was there as part of the traffic detail at Pope in 1991 when the first Desert Shield guys returned - - - Then - I finally got to meet my unit for the first time, Most of whom were Combat Jumpers from Panama. Great bunch of Fella's. God Bless . . .
I was with A company, 4/325 Infantry in Ft Bragg when we were alerted to the desert. We were wheels up 12 hours later towards Kuwait. Spent almost a year in the desert for Desert Shield / Desert Storm and the liberation of Kuwait. Hated every minute, glad to be back alive. God Bless you all besides me. You are all the best Airborne Infantrymen I could imagine to lead. Thank you.
My father was in the 82nd durning desert storm, its very interesting seeing at least a small bit of what his living conditions were like, if you knew a cook named dennis then you knew my dad(he's doin good btw)
I was part of the first group of paratroopers of 4/325 when we changed from 1/509 on July 4th in Vicenza ,Italy in 1983. God Bless you guys for your combat duty!
Um......4/325 never made a combat jump in the desert. Last combat jump made by A co. 4/325 was over Omar Torrijos Airport, Panama City, Panama 12 December 1989 0200 hrs. I was there, and lept from an aircraft in flight yea verily.
@RivetGardener Might need to check your jump log because mine said 20 December 1989 for my combat jump with A CO 4/325 than deployed 6 August 1990 to Desert Shield Desert Storm with A CO 4 325
