For the first Wednesday of last month, we carpooled Benicio with us to the Thunderbolt at Pond Run since he's been really wanting to hear it in person. The original plan was to let him record this while we record the Banshee nearby, but we ended up sticking around here since I still wasn't satisfied with my previous video of it, and we wanted to make up for the Thunderbolt that failed on us the Monday prior to this. In my opinion, it was well worth it, because this Thunderbolt is always a treat to experience, and I honestly forgot just how loud it was. This time, we walked up the incline on Crooked Creek Lane while it was sounding, and it managed to spike up to 122.3 dBC on my meter from the top of the hill, which is higher than the other 2 times I've been here. This has definitely reinforced its spot in the top 10 loudest 'bolts I've heard, and Benicio said it's one of the loudest he's heard as well! I also think this video came out much better than my last video of it, especially the wide shot. I might eventually try getting a more front lit shot of this during a summer month, but this video satisfies me for the time being, so that probably won't be for a few more years. Enjoy!
