Only thing combat focused I personally want and I think many would appreciate is having more difficulty options in the overworld. Kind of like those combat events where you can choose to make a fight even more challenging.
They even have precedent for customizable difficult and low reward content. Hoyo works in mysterious ways. Also we're the vocal (but not loud or spend-y enough) minority. So the ways are not that mysteriou$

6:20 the AOE dendro damage was about the green wave when the lumidouce case is casted. Later they mantion the shots as just "dendro DMG"... This is a bit missleading anyway...
ngl I think back to it now and it was kinda hard to recognise where I have to glide to sometimes, especially for new players who aren't used to the UI it can be tricky.

Isn't getting friendship level kinda easy? Just stuff guys you want to level up into your closet in the teapot for a while, and maybe collect encounter point rewards with them if you really want to speed things up.
@@meursaulty6672 It is not an "issue" though. Those cosmetics are gonna be rare, you can barely get one every two months. Two months ain't that bad to level up a character, not to mention its not like the cosmetic has any game play influence. It is for people who really like a character and have level 90'ed them already, or wont hesitate to. Ofcourse this means it wont be wise to try and get it for every character as the resources are limited, but I guess this feels like a fair tradeoff. You like a character enough to get a random cosmetic for it, have FL 10 and level 90. At most i would agree to them making it lets say 80+(final ascension) if the people are struggling too much, but below 80, don't think so.
@apoorvjoshi2383 You left out the fact that there's also 1-2 new characters every 1.5 months. Why would someone spend resources to take a support character to 90, a useless upgrade for most, when they could take a new character to 60-70 with that amount? And with Natlan around the corner too? That requirement has no reason to exist, removing it is no detriment to Hoyo but it's a huge annoyance for players.
@@meursaulty6672 thats literally the point of cosmetic changes, they come last. At the end of building the characters. As i said, not everyone is thinking about damage/resource management. It is for people who love to max out their characters because they love them.
also as i said, i can agree on level 90 requirement being a little harsh on the players, it could have been 80+ aka the final ascension, but below that nah. 80+ should have been the minimum for that but perhaps not 90
I can maybe understand reaching Character Friendship to Lvl 8, but gatekeeping the cosmetic trials in Imaginarium Theatre behind Lvl 90 is a hard sell, considering how much it costs to get to that point. I’d rather it be behind unlocking the final ascension level instead.
I mean, it's a barely noticeable cosmetic. It's meant for people who really like those characters. If it increased damage by 1%, sure, I could understand the complaint, but as it is it just looks like complaining for the sake of it.
I don’t entirely agree. As much as this does not equate to good endgame, it is an incentive to build and level your characters, which is something lots of players have been asking for for a long time. Its not a bad thing to have rewards (especially cosmetics) that actually take time and effort to unlock instead of just being event rewards (or worse, gacha/shop purchases)
It’s the first time they are rewarding end game combat events with cosmetics, so they are probably testing the ground for future. They’ll change it if enough people complain about it.
Also their reactions are sounding more scripted patch by patch. Yeah i know they are scripted from very start of games but just try as natural as it can get.

20:24 it's for people that actually care about what character they're playing. you can pick the echo for your favorite one each season. which is why the friendship requirement is also there (even though it's trivial for a character you're willing to get the echo for) so no I don't think that not being able to play the 5 trials makes the concept "ass" it gives some substance to your character and your decision
each 2 seasons actualy. echo costs 2 keys and in each season you can get only 1. and gatekeeping it behind lvl 90 is crazy. i ain't spending mora and exp books on diluc and qiqi
Its trivial in general. thanks to the teapot, if you do the bare minimum of swapping in and out characters that lack in friendship once in a blue moon, you'll eventually hit lvl 10 friendship with all of the cast. It's kinda painful to wait for 2 months to get a single echo tho.
Yeah if you don't have Diluc at friendship 10 you probably won't give a fuck about having some extra special effects on him anyway. I know I don't. The people who care enough about those characters to get the effects probably have them maxed out long ago.

4.8 honestly looks fine to me, I enjoy the lighthearted summer events and the new skins are nice. Not really feeling the new Natlan characters we've seen, which is also fine, I'm happy to skip a patch or two
Guys. No copium. The reason Emilie is on phase 2 of the banner is that she will work well with Natlan characters. Hoyo knows about the leakers. 5.0 characters kit would mostly be finalised when patch 4.8 reaches phase 2. And the new characters will have synergy with Emilie's kit and that would boost up the incentive to pull for Emilie
Dude, none of those characters are pyro, Emilie needs pyro to function. The hydro girl is anti synergistic, because she will vape the pyro and then there will be no burning. The dendro guy 'might' have some synergy though .

My only complaint with the echoes is that you only get 1 key every cycle I want enough for 1 echo every cycle It's a cosmetic for a character You'll only see the cosmetic if you use the character If you use the character the friendship level will go up naturally If you like the character enough to get them a cosmetic leveling them to 90 isn't a hard ask I'm not leveling characters constantly because I'm only getting a new character every couple of months I'm sitting on a pile of books and mora

Man, seems that I'm in the minority, but I'm really really happy with Natlan so far, I'm Latino, living and have always loved here in South America, and seeing Natlan as not a horrendous war torn place or just people trying to survive in volcano or desert is so good. We are colorful nations and cultures, we're not yellow Mexico filter, and our ancestors, even though they were violent for our current moral standards, weren't a bunch of savages. The designs of the new characters give me a feeling of what if we hadn't been completely colonized so more native cultural elements survived until today and then through globalization and cultural contact with the rest of the world modern elements were being adopted and merged with those native elements, yeah, the skin tone thing is something that can be critized about the designs, but at least they didn't do the laziest thing and just make people wearing loincloths and feathers.
Really wish they had more melanin but, as a Mexican, I really like the designs! Heres to hoping that if we can send feedback to Mihoyo and they’ll make the appropriate changes

I also hate the people that expected Natlan to look like Mordor, when Latin America and Africa are of the most beautiful places on earth with so much color and culture.
Honest to god, much prefer the Pokemon approach than what so many people were expecting about tribes constantly killing each other, it seems Hoyo realized in time that maybe making the region based on countries that some people traditionally viewed as "savages" into a hellscape of blood and death wasn't the best idea As for the character designs, yeah, wish they actually had darker skin but theyre fine otherwise, hopefully we get more variation in skintone (as if) but Latin America is more varied that many people think, i see people with that skin tone around all the time, juet hope we get something more than just ever so slightly tanned for other characters

It gave me the same vibe of Aranaras trotting arround their local area in Vanarana. I adore the fact that the chibi is sitting on the Beyblade all emotionless and expressionless and goofing arround like it's a moped for kids.
People are judging the book by the cover. The teasers are hand made my Hoyo to only show what they want, which is land and characters in a happy way. It's safe to say there's something darker going on (just like every previous nation), specially with some of the strongest harbingers being needed in natlan, and project stuzha happening

This patch is on my favor. I can finally get Nilou with my guarantee after skipping her debut then losing 50/50 from her last rerun. Kirara is the only 4* I'm missing so the giveaway free Kirara and her outfit is really nice. Also will pull on weapon banner since I have a guarantee, I'm fine getting either Key for Nilou and Furina or Verdict for my Navia.

Reaching 90 is more dreadful than reaching lvl 8 friendship. I have friendship 10 with every character. But all characters that get special running effect (except Jean) are lvl 70-80.

The new caractera designs are pretty good, we havent had much child caracters in fontaine so im down for more goofy ass caracters with funny story like diona or fischl
I didn't care about the friendship level i just put whoever was closest to friendship 10 on my teapot and took them out when it was done, 10/10 best strat i have more character with lvl 10 friendship than unleveled character
I prefer the HSR style of programs where the VA's stay in-character at least for a little bit, instead of the valley girl talking that they did for this livestream, it was so cringe to hear them say "y'all" "yass" and "oh my gah" all the time.
That's just how they talk normally XD. You can see it in their streams. What's kinda impressive is that HSR is feels more scripted than the genshin ones

To anyone complaining about lvl 90 and friendship lvl 8 requirement for the cosmetic, bruh, it's for people who have ALREADY met the requirements on said characters. This is literally a cosmetic reward, it doesn't do anything useful, it's not something you strive towards and it certainly shouldn't be your main reason when you level up your characters.

Like 2 days of resin for the levels, 3 days for the boss mats. Doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. Could literally do it in a day if you have a few fragile/transient resin.
@@sheep2826 you need 3,423,125 exp to level from 80/90 to 90/90 the wiki uses 171 purple books, and 4 white ones you get 4-5 purple books per leyline assuming you get 180 resin every 24 hours (not counting refreshes like primos or fragiles), you need about 38 runs or 760 resin to get all the talent books thats more than 4 days of farming JUST for the books that doesnt count mora, nor does it count lvl 80 ascension if we do count mora (684,800), and you get 60k mora per ley line crop, you need 12 runs aka another 240 resin, which is about one and a half days of farming thats almost an entire week of farming just to get one character from ascended level 80 to 90 considering the amount of characters there are, boss materials you also need to farm if theyre not already ascended, and talent levels yeah, its a lot of materials
Well... isn't this game his livelihood? In other words it's his job. I doubt many people would stick if he were to switch even to something similar like WuWa. He is kinda stuck with it unless he finds a different job, or gambles it all to try to gain a different audience.
