Seems like 4 ways to mess up a perfectly good kitchen knife. There are sharpeners that require no skill and are less than $10 that would NOT permanently damage the temper of the blade. And on all four examples you also created a new bevel angle making the edge very weak and probably not able to hold the edge you just put on it for long. I could think of several other ways you are permanently damaging those knives. And the angle grinder trick probably worked well on one side you clearly rounded the tip of the blade. I just feel upset that someone will watch this and try one of the methods and ruin their knife
