perhaps not a solution you should spend your time on offering . 9 out of 10 people would probably avoid, not fully finish or fail at completely. sorry.
Is there grid voltage to be found on the top bit of the electronics? If so this is kind of dangerous.. Using a multimeter is perhaps a better idea. Clickbait thumbnail makes me sad
AS an Electrical Engineer for some 20 plus year, I would not recommend doing this. Reason 1) being in series you now have increased the current level through the board traces which were not designed to carry that current 2) It also increased the current flow through the LEDs which again may have driven them out of the safe specification. 3) By increasing the current through the LEDs you now have increased the thermal dissipation of each device again possibly taking it out of the safe thermal specification of the LED devices as well as the board and in-closer. Besides by doing this you now have increased the current load on the LED driver the will degrade it. In other words it will probably blow out in a very short time. :) Like Always, Just my thoughts God Bless.
As an electronic repair tech, as I was watching this I couldn't help but to think "What a terrible "hack". Yeah, I wonder why this is not patented. 🙄" No one should ever perform this "hack" on their own bulbs. I don't need to mention the reasons because it's already been mentioned several times by other people here in the comments.
The one good thing about this video? It shows that, every single person is smarter than the creator of this video. Every single post knows this will have a very good chance of burning down your house. And, the 'bait-and-switch' of advertising this lying video by videotaping himself wrapping the base of the bulb with blue plastic tape (which can only just stop any AC voltage from ever getting through in the first place) is just sinful. First... if one eliminates one LED from a chain of 10 LEDs, that means the overall voltage across each of the remaining LEDs is going to increase. This means that more current will flow through each of the other LEDs which means they will burn hotter and be more dangerous. Second. Aluminum foil that isn't soldered onto the two pads will potentially have a gap between the pad and the aluminum foil which would encourage arcing. If electricity arcs, it gets super-hot as well and might create ozone to boot. Just putting super-glue on the tape does nothing to increase the bond between the aluminum foil and the metal pad. Third, dissimilar metals in contact with each other. Aluminum does not do well when electricity passes through it and it is in contact with a dissimilar metal. It's called, "Galvanic Corrosion". This will increase the possibility over time that it will start sparking as the resistance builds-up in the contact area. Come on, guy. People are stupid enough and do enough stupid things that endanger their lives by their stupidity. To encourage stupidity just so you can get a couple cents when people connect, hoping they'll actually get good tips? The correct thing to do in this case? Throw away the light and buy a good quality light, not one that has that stupid plastic globe over it. Glass bonded to the light by a reputable manufacturer such as GE Soft White LED 60W (actually 8 Watt) "Classic Shape" LED Bulb 760 lumens bulb. Has a glass globe that can't be just snapped off with a mat knife. The cheap, crappy, Chinese rip-offs such as the one in this idiotic video become brittle from the heat as it is. When the circuit board gets brittle, and that cheap plastic globe also gets brittle, it will crumble... becoming a horrid fire hazard. So, instead of making idiot videos which encourage people to be as much of an idiot as you are? start being moral and ethical, instead. Make videos encouraging things that help people, keep them safe, give them a light source that isn't bright white annoyance such as these cheap Chinese knock-offs give. The GE LED bulb I described has a pleasant yellow light like the old bulbs used to have. They WON'T burn your house down.
Who’s here for the groovy music? -I can’t find a paper clip.. sad face emoji --1:24-- - --2:44--. I can skip this section- I got a complete cable already- enjoy
Click Bait - there was no "wrapping" at all - it consisted of a technical project using exacto knife , tape, glue and other tools. The mans talented but deceptive. Someone highlight my comment - this is gold.
8:34 Hello, your videos are very useful, we are happy to have you back more often, you are always an inspiration for me to get new ideas from you, thank you and wish you the best!
And when you have boiled your cuppa, you can attach the blades to an electric drill and shave the hairs off your 'private area' without the need of an expensive razor, win win !
