Generating 4 axis g-code for foam cutters can be challenging since there aren't many solutions available. In this video, I show 6 solutions that you can use 4 of them are free.
I'll show an overview of each one and show how to test the g-code using a free simulator and GRBL's Check option. For two of the applications, I've run some live cuts as well.

If you want the best CNC Foam cutting software then it's DevWing Foam 2 and DevFus Foam 2 in my opinion. Although not free they are worth investing in if you are serious about making foam wings and fuselages.

thats right, there is nobody that dedicated to show his knowledge to others and with such patience as him and dealing in the process with guys far away like me who by the way dont know anything about this world of cnc and can make such simple mistakes on a daily basis, i can count with one hand the people i´ve met like this, as soon as i have my machine done i will show it to him, of course mine is a very low income model since in my country is very hard to find and buy the parts.

Keith, thank you for wonderful comparison that you did and for very positive feedback for WingDesigner that I've created! Sorry for not naming website and application same way. I'm bad at naming things :) Regarding my name pronunciation, yes, you did it very well. It's similar to "George" :) It's so inspiring when you see that someone appreciates your work. Great video thanks a lot! Right now I use foam xl 7.0. It provides cutting wings in pairs. Would you recommend cutting wings in pairs? Viele Gruesse! Chris

Yes, I cut mine in pairs using DevWing Foam. I did try using Foam XL 7.0 but I don't own Mircosoft Excel so I couldn't get it to work on Libre Calc. Thanks for your comments.👍

Might be worth looking at Grblgru for a foam cutter/simulator/GCode sender. His program is free, capable of running many kinds of devices including a foam cutter. Thanks for posting. Cheers.

He's actually producing some updates for foam cutting and importing airfoils and DXF's. He reached out to me a few weeks ago for some feedback on a new version. Which I gave him so it looks quite promising.
