How to build a 4-bar lift.
A parallel bar lift. Uses two motors in the video, but can be upgraded to four if the need arises.
Recorded on 6-16-2016 using ShareX and Sketchup Make 2016.
I created this video with the RU-vid Video Editor ( / editor )

so you could put something on the end of the bar on the bottom like a dumper bot and just put a motor. Could you??

Yes, you can add any mechanism that you want to the 4 bar lift. You can also make lifts with more sets of bars, r you can just make a basic arm. I have seen a parallel lift (like the one shown) work acceptably with only two motors total (one on each side), but on a regular arm without the advantage of the parallel bars, you would need many more motors. If this did not fully answer your question please try and clarify, and I will answer again. :D

Where did you get working models?

+OOOIOOII I guess this is a little late, but most of the parts used to be on the SketchUp warehouse from a modeler called "ms mac," unfortuinately the warehouse got a refit and they are all gone now. Also, there aren't any v5 models which is the most useful right now.

@@NorseHorseOfCourse There are working models in .step files on the VEX website

@@nerdom1610 ok, that is true, but SketchUp normally does the die if you try and use complex models inside. I haven't experimented with it though, so if you want to try the go for it and best of luck!
