I have never really been into F1 (gasp) but Motor Sport Manager let me do sports cars and long distance car racing management. Absolutely love it , especially starting from a bottom team and working my way up. Have not played it for awhile but it is still on my computer when I get the urge to play it again.
I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that GT Manager turns out to be a good game then! 🤞 And if you fancy a bit of some quicker fun MM3 on Mobile also has the GT and Endurance car classes and is probably one of the best ways to play that!
My personal favourite racing manager game is Grand Prix World. Not only is it a fully licensed game, but the scale between a backmarker and a frontrunner is enormous. Like Ferrari and McLaren can really get away by spending money on a problem meanwhile Tyrrell and Minardi can barely keep the whole operation afloat
In my opinion, Motorsport Manager still beats F1 Manager hands down. The game has much more depth, much more long-term motivation and dozens of cool mods. Yes, it lacks the official licence. But even that can be rectified relatively easily with mods and then F1 Manager doesn't have much in its favour apart from the fancy graphics.
I’d have to agree from a management sim standpoint. I think F1 Manager has the better in race management, obviously has the better graphics and the official license, but they’ve got a long way to go to get to the depth of Motorsport Manager. I hope they can get the game to that point though as it would be unreal. I’d love Playsport to pull their finger out and make a fully fledged MM2 to compete with F1 Manager but I don’t think they’ll ever do it unfortunately, they seem more interested in competing with F1 Clash 😂
I think unless the company changes ownership again it’s not likely to happen any time soon. Maybe in a while after the F1 Manager series dies, assuming it does, but I can’t ever see someone making a big budget direct competitor. Motorsport Manager 3 on mobile or Switch is definitely worth playing if you like the PC version and just want something quick to play on the go, it has a staggering amount of depth for a mobile motorsport management simulation game.
Thanks for making this video! As someone who just recently picked up F1 Manager 23 I had never heard of the other games in this list, but after watching I definitely want to try Ultimate Racing 2D & probably Motorsport Manager as well.
No worries, I’m glad you liked it 😄 Motorsport Manager is absolutely worth checking out, it’s still imo the most in depth motorsport management experience you can get. F1 Manager is getting there but it’s not as deep. Ultimate Racing 2D is fantastic for the sheer amount of different seasons and racing disciplines.
Thanks for doing this. I played MM a lot and just had to give it up. I had to do EVERYTHING! That was not realistic just too much. I needed an aerodynamicist and a strategist. But no I have to do everything. The graphics and game engine were fine.
Motorsport manager was by far the best but modding it is what gave it life. playing old f1 new f1 in the sma gam was amazing and also doing f3-f2 and then f1 is great. F1 manager needs to add more depth.
Modding was amazing on Motorsport Manager and really kept it going. I do enjoy modding on F1 Manager as well though! It’s not as easy but there’s tonnes you can do with the games on PC
Woooow, it's really unusual to see someone mentioning UR2D Espetially in an aspect like this But in my opinion the magic of this game is in the racing leagues 🌟🌟
f1 Manager 2023 has 3 huge issues: . Car development is quite unclear. Its a bit all over the place. Its very hard to understand what impacts are you even achieving on the car and how all parts balance with each other. Does not help that they use several different unit measures. So there are things being measured in %, others being measured in Newtons. Makes it really hard to get an overall grip on how you are developing your car. . Pit crew management. This one is just completely messed up. You have to keep checking your schedulle constantly if you dont want to have your pit crew weary and going backwards. Its a problem with events going on in the background which increase fatigue without showing up on your schedulle and no warning being given to the player. This is complete bogus. .Contract negotiations. Everyone and their dogs want huge amounts of money out of the blue and without much reason. Its inflation going bonkers all over the place. For these 3 reasons, Motorsport Manager on PC remains the MUCH BETTER game. Simply because you get a grip on what you are doing and you actually control game mechanics.
Have to agree with you on all of them, absolutely love the game but you are not wrong. Pit crew management is the biggest crime in my opinion, it just makes no sense. Thankfully from what I’ve seen they’ve fixed a lot of the car development and negotiations in F1 Manager 24 so fingers crossed!
@@C97Games I bought F1 Manager 2023 on sale by a very low price. And could never finish a single season..... Its really bogus when you realize its a mess signing any new people. Half way through season I always get distracted, forget to check my pit crew schedulle and they end up terrible lol I was doing all right with car development I think. But as I never finished a season I dont really know.
@Ruimas28 if you swap the view on car development you can see the rank of each part compared the rest of the grid which is the most useful thing for me. Hardest thing for me with getting through seasons is having to do all the races as they’re so long 😂
@@C97Games I had issues with F1 manager, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, F1 manager sucks i.m.o. MM just has much more depth, more bang for your buck.
Motorsport manager still my favourite manager of racing game, Other games feel should mentioned is gran prix world and GP manager 2, they are very old but still can be taken some juice from there. There also another one is F1 Manager Profesional, seems very great (sady you require DOS emulator) and i plan play that game

I like Motorsport Manager, really love to have so many options and the easy gameplay. I´m playing it right now, a Create Your Own Team challenge. I would try F1 manager if there were a Create Your Own Team option. Anyway, I´d love to see an update to Motorsport Manager because there are not only a few bugs but also some flaws in the gameplay.
Yeah Motorsport Manager has some really annoying bugs still unfortunately but I think it will forever stay that way without community involvement. F1 Manager 24 might be for you with its new Create A Team mode!

Thank you! I am feeling much better 🌞 A rally expansion would be amazing, I can’t personally see Playsport doing any further expansions though unfortunately. It would be an amazing stand alone game though if any other developer were to make a Rally Manager game, it’s definitely something I’ve not seen done before and would be really interesting! Closest thing I think you’d get from my knowledge right now is managing Rally Cross on Ultimate Racing 2D 2
Now this would be a game changer! It would take a lot of commitment from people though and I’m not sure the community is big enough to accommodate it? Maybe the closest thing right now is being a “team boss” sort of thing to an esports team in either the F1 game or another racing sim.
The most close thing would be like make a manager online series in a simulator like Rfactor, Asseto Corsa etc. Where in a web or on a discord one gona be the Boss, the admin of the series would lesvr ypu diferent sponsors, upgrades, part and more management things and then upload patch with all the things the Managers chose and open a sv with actual online racing and depend of your sponsors and results you earn money.
