1: Most paid medical debt $500 or less will be removed from credit reports or not reported - Paid collections debt will no longer appear on credit reports - Unpaid medical debt is given a year to work out a payment plan before it gets reported 2: But Now Pay Later accounts will be added to credit reports 3: Free credit reports until the end of 2023 4: New FICO 10 system

- may I suggest you make CREDIT ROYALE NET correlating this to the United States Credit Scoring System; you know, the system where an entire nation's people are enslaved by their government over systems exactly like this? We need people who have influence to bring to light these types of correlations to get people asking and thinking or we will see ourselves slip into a tyrannical nightmare.

I encourage everyone to keep your credit reports locked. It’s very easy to unlock it when you need to, it takes about 3 minutes to unlock it online. It decreases the chances of someone being able to open any sort of account in your name that requires a credit inquiry. As always, there are ways that a scammer may be able to figure out to open some sort of account somewhere, but in general, it will shut stuff down. Also, I keep my debit/credit card locked until I want to use it, then I just go on the app and flip it on, it takes 30 seconds. This is a great way to prevent unauthorized transactions.

@@erind2261 you can do it from the main three bureaus pages and the often the alternative bureau pages. Paying just means you get a credit monitoring as well whatever that particular company offers as part of its package.

Changes come after incidents. A lot of people were doing buy now pay later and never paying or disputing thinking they would get away with it since it’s not on their credit! I swear I saw this coming 🤣

Stop giving out the Social security number to medical institutions. No law says you have to give it! This is the main way they can report medical debt. They is charity programs throughout numerous public and private hospitals that can help you write off medical debt owed . It's not medicaid or Medicare. Contact the financial services dept of the hospitals and ask about help for the uninsured.

I read this about the medical bills.... but what is funny is when the statement came out about the changes... one of my medical bills that were under $500 increased by $145 and now is over $500 when I saw this I disputed it. I believe this will happen to a lot of people so the creditors can get their money.

If you show proof to the credit bureaus, they can remove it. Another thing you can do is call the original creditor and settle with them at the original balance. Or possibly sue the debt collector.

Wow. Thanks for the information. This is very important and like you say some of the changes are troubling and not that beneficial. They target African Americans with all of these subprime “deals” like payday loans and buy now pay later things and then turn around and use it against us. That FICO 10 mess is another example. It’s not beneficial for us. Every time we look around they raise the bar and move the finish line further and further. It’s evident in the business’s they open in our neighborhoods. ( payday loans, beauty supply stores, liquor stores, fast food restaurants and Walmarts on every corner to name a few, etc..). Thank you for continuing to provide life transforming information to educate us, encourage us and empower us .

They just take like 1/3 or more of your check to pay for the socialism. You can keep it there. As for medical bills, I don't think that should ever have been allowed to be on a credit report. It is not like going to Macy's and charging a bunch of stuff to run up debt. Most of the time, it is not an option to go to doctor or hospital to get better.

Personally I will take my guaranteed year and a half paid maternity leave, employment insurance, functioning public school system, cheap uni costs and lower crime and prison rates over whatever additional income I could hope to make in the U.S.

Back in 2015 I started my claim with the VA for MST/PTSD. I was denied. I received a rating for my back, chronic migraines, and my knee which I hurt really bad during basic and regular service. I continued to try to get a rating for the biggest issue I am dealing with and that is the MST/PTSD. Fast forward to 2019 and I was told by some other vets to reach out to VA Claims Insider. I spoke with someone who said “we will help you get a rating of 100% for your PTSD. If we do not get a 100% rating for your PTSD, then we don’t get paid. We only get paid if you win your rating and we get paid from the back pay so you don’t have to worry about that.” So I agreed. Here is how they “helped”: they referred me to a psych doctor for evaluation. I paid for this out of my own pocket $350. They didn’t pay for the visit. I did. I got the form (dbq) I needed to submit to the VA from the doctor. VA Claims Insider told me to watch a video of another vet who had success and just take that advice. I submitted my new claim to the VA with my evidence from the civilian doctor, and was scheduled to undergo further evaluation with a doctor from the VA. My DBQ states the primary being PTSD, I received a rating for SSD (somatic symptom disorder). Still no rating for PTSD. Since I had not tried for SSD before, it was new and therefore, no backpay. VA Claims Insider now says I owe them $14,000 for referring me to a doctor and advising me to watch a video. That’s all they did. I paid for the doctor visit. I submitted my claim. I still have no rating for PTSD and they have put in collections $14,000 which has now affected my credit! They didn’t do anything to warrant a payment like that and they didn’t get me a rating of 100% for PTSD as they promised. Now one of the people who was communicating with me at the time is with another company and reaching out to me to see if I need assistance with my claim. Idk how to fix this. Reached out to a lawyer who has a class action lawsuit against them.

The government needs to fully change credit. They need to remove the process of pulling credit when you apply for loans hurting your credit nothing should happen to your score . Also when you pay off debt nothing should happen to your score. The only way a score should go down is for late payments and nothing else. Credit is really a scam.

FICO 10 is not new to me. It’s on Experian. Disney+ actually gets pulled through there. Also what are your feelings on Experian? I’ve never used buy now, pay later not once. I have enough debt I’m working on.

i am liking this , i am a victim of identity theft and i am about 3 weeks from finding out who they are .also with this people taking your phone number and making purchases that is alo identity theft .i8 just caugh tsome one using my ss# 13 years ago threw target and TD bank . Wish inquiries would drop sooner if the company that took it out denied you for whatever reason, I mean 24 months and I still have 8 hard inquiries from when I went to get my car last year

I have accounts at 2 banks, and bought have security notification setup options, they will send you notifications if there is an activity on your account. I have set up all the notifications: any changes; transactions; …. Also set up notifications on credit reporting websites to notify me if there are any changes.

Buy now pay later should not count as DTI if it is less than 12 Payments. Anything under a year is not considered.

You really do need a credit card for making hotel and plane reservations. You can easily pay it off before the end of the billing cycle, which is what I do. It's much easier to cancel a hotel or plane reservation within the allotted time without worrying about them putting the money back on your debit card. Moreover, when I went to Egypt, my debit card didn't work, but thankfully my credit card did. These debit cards (like Wells Fargo) say no foreign transaction fees. I guess not because you can't use the card. These banks are so tricky.

They work, but sometimes at particular ATM’s. Some banks you have to notify of international travel beforehand, otherwise they won’t allow withdrawals from your account.

I use my debit card for hotels and airline tickets. I travel internationally often (I actually live abroad) without a credit card.

@@4SuGloria good luck if you get hacked and they clean out your bank account. It will take weeks at least if you're lucky to recoup your money, if at all. Meanwhile, your account is frozen, you cannot do any transactions, and will be late on your bills. I learned this lesson the hard way years ago. Now, if my credit card is hacked or stolen, I'm not liable for any of those unauthorized charges and my bank accounts are safe. If you have no interest in getting a credit card, can buy a prepaid one and use for hotels, restaurants, etc. Still way better than a debit card.

I use to work in debit card disputes for a large financial institution. With that said all I'll say is when I travel domestic or international I use my credit card. When I go out to eat, I use my credit card. When I buy online from a merchant I use my credit card.

All of this information is so needed! Thank you. Regarding the new FICO scoring, it is totally unfair for them to make this type of change especially after the pandemic. Or do I say this? So many people were not able over the last 24 months to pay rent and mortgages on time. The banks will be able to Simply charge higher rates just because of the last world event when those same people apply for credit in the future. So sad that they are doing this to people, but I expect this from Banks. Bankers will make $300,000 salaries and buy new summer homes in Switzerland.

Nearly everyone does buy now pay later with their car insurance. Not many people pay the premium in full every 6 months

Some medical debt reported to collections was debt that was paid by the individual but the medical business has not properly recorded the payment and should have never sent it to collection in the first place.

I didn't even know there were so many buy now pay later options were out here 👀. I've been wondering how people are doing the things that they do 🤷🏽‍♀️. Now I know. I believe in buy now and pay now. I don't like debt.

@@jshipp6756 I don't know if it is or not. I don't do credit. If I can't afford to pay cash, I don't purchase it. Except for large amounts such as a house and a car.

Watching this JUST made me make sure my notifications are turned on for my bank account when I transaction is made 💯. I get notifications for my credit card but I noticed not my debit card and that be the main one I report fraud on . Luckily it was only $10 but $10 IS TEN DOLLARS THAT I DID NOT SPEND Lbvs! The Buy Now Pay Later, most of the apps have you pay off the purchases by the end of 30 days. This shouldn't be reported to credit agencies.

PayPal is already reporting to the Big 3. And Experian will give your credit score a boost if you add extraneous bills like internet and utilities. So I am guessing those that don't need or rely on credit scores (like Dave Ramsey) will have a credit score whether he likes it or not.

How so? Only way to have a credit score is applying for and getting credit. He has a credit report. Everyone does.

I caught on to the buy now pay later update last week while checking my experian report. I thought affirm didn’t report your loan if you opt for 3 installments or less. I chose 3 installments, but my loan amt was reported as an “unsecured credit line” -> over it! Thankfully, I experimented with a small figure.

AFFIRM , UPGRADE, FORTIVA, GENESIS BANK ARE ASK COMPLETE FRAUDS…. Absolutely awful companies…. I just got out of them all. Paid all of them off. I had no idea. It’s criminal.

Because Anthony, sometimes people were homeless and finally got a job and needed a new shirt and a watch to know what time they had to be at work. Sometimes when you are homeless these things are essential to you starting over.

Question- what about a medical bill for $1,600 that will be paid in full to the creditor but was sent to the collections company. Will this be able to be taken off my report?

This is good news if you have good payments on buy now pay later. This can boost your score. For some people who were not able to secure other credit to build their credit, they use things like affirm, sezzle, etc. and paying on time, this will actually build their credit

I have used buy now pay later programs. I am going to delete the accounts asap. That should keep me safe from reporting right? Do you think companies will report old/closed accounts?
