4 days Wild Camping and Exploring the Isle of Gigha, Scotland .
Todays video is 4 days Exploring and wild camping on the beach using the Nordisk Telemark 2.2 Lw and also camping by the sea in the camper van
The Isle of Gigha is a Community owned island , which is the most southerly of the Hebridean islands .
it is Seven miles long by a mile and a half wide ,Gigha is situated 3 miles west of the Kintyre Peninsula less than three hrs from Glasgow and only a 20 minute Ferry from the mainland .
Gigha has something for everyone from exploring the coastal paths and stunning white beaches to the Famous Achamore Gardens .
The new camp site was only a few days from openeing , in fact it opened the day after we left .
we spent all our time on the North side of the isand exploring the twin beaches and the northern beaches looking over the sound of Jura to the larger islands of Jura and Isla . I was exploring the coves around the north using my kayak and discovered a perfect spot beautiful white sands with its own palm tree .
Nordisk Telemark 2,2 Lw was the tent for tonight perfect and light for hiking around the headland to this location . so much more Icould tell you about Gigha now my favorite location , I hope you enjoy this film which is just ashort taste of what is on offer lovely food and wonderful gardens .

Visited Gigha about 60 years ago when my aunt took myself and my pal there for a weeks holiday where she was friendly with one of the islanders, if I remember correctly the Postman had about 20 jobs as there were so few people on the island. When she died my wife and I took her ashes up there and scattered them in the water from the mainland in sight of the island.

It is definetly worth a visit so many places to visit , the island is only 7 miles long by 1 mile wide , and i have still to see the south of the island run out of time , so a return visit next year is in the plans , thanks for watching and catch up soon Atb K ⛺🥾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😎🛶🔥

Gigha looks wonderful Kevin. Even down to the palm tree at your campsite ... to us Kiwis, it looks suspiciously like a tree from our own shores here down under, known locally as a cabbage tree, or in Maori, ti kouka (Cordyline australis). It's not a palm at all, more closely related to members of the lily family. They grow from one end of New Zealand to the other, just about every garden has one. Now we know where to come to see one when we're next in Scotland! Btw, loved your video.
