Finally! An explanation on the key differences between the two..as a Radio Broadcaster, I have to constantly tell people that I don't do "Podcasts"..and this video is easy for others to understand the differences. Bravo!

In my opinion there are a few more, but maybe I'm wrong: 5: live people interaction: people who are listening live to our live show can actively partecipate in relation to what we are discussing at the moment; if the show start with a regular schedule, people know that you are live from that particular hour scheduled and join the livestream without organizing it before and "faking" a live interaction. 6: the sound design: many, MANY podcasts are just talking for entire minutes (even hours) without music, jingles, sweepers, liners or music beds... Because people's attention is SO DAMN LIMITED, as a entertainers we must catch people's attention and that's why live radio is more articulated to do instead of talking for half an hour about a single topic. 7: equipment and setup: even if you have a streaming on twitch, you need far more equipment than a sound card and 2 USB microphones, you need to sync the automation software, the live stream software, the audio processing (analogic or digital directly on PC)... So, these are my additional thoughts about the difference between live radio and podcast Subscribed to your channel :)

To be fair, all good points. Radio requires much more finesse as there are plenty of moving parts. And from a listener experience, everything feels organic and free flowing. Not knocking either one, but that's also one of the big differences between them. In any case, lots more insights like this at: radio.co/blog

Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found this video. It makes alot of sense since I've been on air via radio station as a guest host and done a few live events as a DJ. I'm old school for a 38yr old so I'm still new to this podcast thingamajig
