I read that some people install the window shade "upside down" so you can open it from the top down. Makes a lot of sense to me.

The screen defender is not just for Grand designs. It is for any RV that has a lippert door. I bought on got my Sunset Trail 331BH.

Just to let you know. The screen defender will fit any RV with a Lippert screen door, not just Grand Design. I put one on my Winnebago trailer. They are great!

Got inside cracks on door panel skin? Lippert crap cracks. do this! Easy just to replace the entire inside skin. Home depot sells 4x8 fiberglass panels in white or grey textured on one side for @ $45. I just fixed my door yesterday and it took @ 2 hrs. Take door off, remove hardware, 4 screws on bottom and bottom trim. Get couple putty knives and pry off door u shape trim carefully and window trim. Tear off old skin and use as templet for new panel. Cut new panel with circular saw and jig saw. Put back together carefully and use wood block and hammer to set trim over edges. Better than new! Now solid 3/32's thick.

The Rv lock you have will eventually start to need a slam close also. We have it and have the issue but it’s easily resolved with dry lube. Keep a small cab in your kit and lube it up every other month or so.

@@TheBuckStop How can I tell if it will fit my RV? Amazon says its for Lippert screen doors but there's no branding on my screen. It's a forest river thunderbolt. Thanks!

Great video updates! Say guys, since Grand Design screen door is a hassle and it even blocks the new door shade window and is kind of a hassle. Have you heard of a sliding screen door... like the Lance Campers, which fit our Grand designs? 😊 Cheers, Eric
