that 24 inch FUNK audio sub will basically vibrate the wires of his pacemaker apart! FUNK audio is a Canadian company in British Columbia. started as a 1 man operation Nathan Funk, and he and a few others still build everything by hand, guaranteed to be some of the best subwoofers in the world.
You know your Funk history...haha that's awesome. They truly are one of the best audio brands in the world, especially for their subwoofers. I have a demo video out this morning about how the subwoofer shakes my skin lol.
@@BuildMontage Thanks for the shoutout at the end haha. I must say it does feel great hitting 1000 subs. Can't wait to work with you all more in the future.
Thank you so much for letting us in on this collab Tony! It was a truly awesome experience getting to work with all of you guys. Keep up the great work everyone! ❤
Thanks so much Rob & Logan for the kind remarks! It was a pleasure working with you guys too. It is a pleasure working with such a fantastic bunch of guys in this community.!
Loved your last person's setup - have a very warm place in my heart for laser disks - I started my HT using LD's. Was surprised to not see a LD player in his AV equipment. 3rd person's setup seemed way over powered by so many subwoofers. I feel sorry for his neighbors. Also, huge kudo's to Twoguyztech for use of the Vandersteen speakers - so nice to see a HT setup w/something other than Klipsch speakers.
Thank you very much for watching! In out first Home Theater, we had a Pioneer CLD-3080 LaserDisc player. Unfortunately, we don't have it anymore, but we still have some of our old LDs lying around. Yeah, you don't see the Vandersteens much in Home Theaters, but we absolutely love them. Thanks again! 😀
@@TwoGuyzTech I have a big stack of LD's I haven't played in years, including the Star Wars & Alien boxed sets. I pulled my old Pioneer CLD79 and DVL91 (Pioneer's LD/DVD combo player) out of storage recently and had them refreshed with new belts, etc. Once I find a couple of decent, reasonably priced converters to convert the composite & SVHS video to HDMI signals, I will put those players in my system and start watching my LD's. Should be fun.
The video is well, Tony...and these rooms are great, obviously built by guys who know what they're doing and respect the art that is Home Theater! It was a great watch!!!
Thanks for all the countless hours you have put into this fantastic collab Tony! It is an awesome video and it was a pleasure getting to know such a great bunch of guys!!
Great collaboration video, all of these rooms had something special to offer. Well done on getting it all together, and for each of the owners in building some really impressive rooms.
Thanks Eli, it was a bigger task than I first realised when making this video but totally worth it and awesome to collaborate with some awesome humans.
I remember about 6 months ago when you just started out on RU-vid making HT videos. It is absolutely amazing to see your growth in such a short period of time. Never expected that you would ever get all these views you’ve been getting!
They are a fantastic amp for the price. I did do some videos on them on my channel if you want to see more. Feel free to ask me any questions about them, thanks for watching :)!
Good to see a theater tour again on your channel! Neat idea to pull other content creators in for this one. I know all of these guys and they’re all good people. Happy to have each of them in the discord community. #sickbeard
Thanks my friend. To think, your room is the one that started me off on remote room tours. It was a unique idea in the sense we were half way round the world lol!
Such an awesome video, thanks man, you nail it with the room tours, best on RU-vid by far. Looking forward to the big reveal of yours, I think nearly 8,000 other people are too!
The first room of Jason's has amazing interconnection design and is well thought out. The 24 port patch panel had to be a small fortune with all those custom wires and connectors. On the downside I didn't see any sound absorbers etc on the walls and the room echos while Jason talked in the video. But still an amazing theater room.
We spent a lot of time wiring the entire house with cat6 cabling for whole home networking, even though at the moment we don’t use all of it. The patch panels make things very convenient. Acoustic panels are definitely something I still need to incorporate into my room. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers
@@TwoGuyzTech dude(s) you're still rockin' the panny ae-4000 in 2020, glad to see i'm not the only one. i still have the ae-1000 i bought in '06, it could use a slight calibration but it still shows a nice picture. love seeing other channels ht gear.
@@bambicymone9390 Thank you so much for the kind words! Yep, we just put a new bulb in our projector and it's like new again. Love the picture quality of the AE4000! Unfortunately, we will eventually have to upgrade to 4K lol. Thanks for watching!
Nice Video tony!!! Guess what I forgot to check the time to see if u have uploaded. And every other day I check if u have uploaded. I will support u forever
My opinion a prosseessor is so good if you are using external amplifiers to boost your sounds. But if you are using a reciver then you should trust brands like marantz for example and go with the lfe without using the preouts.
Personally I just bought the Denon x8500h which is a beast for what you get from it. I do plan to go all separates eventually and can flick it to preamp mode.
@@BuildMontage In 2005 I started my home theater with a 46 inch LCD tv and 5.1 set up. I used a player with analog outs and the a separate amplifier boosting a pair of speakers. But after I started using powerful av receivers from brands like marantz I feel the lfe output actually delivers the perfect balanced sound and for me in my 22 ft long 15 width and 18 feet height ceiling I get enough power to run my towers. Except the Atmos speakers all my speakers are between 12 to 15 inch towers. So i dont want to do it the manual way again
Excellent video! I always feel like The Italian stallion drinking raw eggs when I see these tours. I recently painted my own gray screen. 7 coats to make up 104". Went cheap with sanded plywood for the test. Unfortunately with the dimensions I can't pull off 16:9. It's 5 inches too short. Hands down better ambient light rejection compared to my old 110" Akia cinewhite 1.1 gain. Cannot wait to make a 120" in the coming months. Keep the videos coming. Will share!🤟
Thanks Tony another great video. My channel is woodworking but I am currently building a home cinema that I reckon will be pretty cool, but it definitely wont be to the incredible scale of these guys!!
Awesome, I’ll have to check out your channel. I love wood working as well! I have my whole build series on my channel of my theater I’m rebuilding if your interested.
I watch movies in my VR headset. That's all I need. The only thing that lacks is a higher resolution display, which will be present in my next VR headset, and 4k 3d videos.
Spec Of Tech I can only imagine what that thing can do... although imagining is as far as I would ever go because I’m pretty sure it blow out my windows and destroy the foundation of my house! 😂👍
Spec Of Tech haha while I completely agree, my love for bass has not yet surpassed my love for not getting banished to sleep in the shed by my wife. Keep up the passion my friend I envy your boldness!
Is there anyway to find ouf where can I get controll switch for light that Jason have in his room please. I'm not on discord really don't wanna have another social media distraction on my phone. But this light switch is just what I want.
nice bios .... But all days home cinnemas have 3000watt+ in subwoofers you cant use it if you dont have a stand alone house. i dont blame it im just a guy who also had alot amp power but its like a drive a ferrari you know you had alot but you cant still use all horse power
Hi amazing theatre rooms you have featured I have a theatre room that I built about 15 years ago in Brisbane love to show my set up it's a little on budget side but its my baby
Chris did you custom build your hydraulic screen lift? I want one! Also... love your high ceilings for that nice base/height channel separation. Great room!
What did u do ur own wall colours am getting my painted in two weeks am from U.K. was thinly red and black after seeing ur own video am not sure now lol lol
@@BuildMontage Man haven't been active lately with some other projects but will be getting back on in a couple of weeks! Will be back up soon brother 👍😁
I like hpw your giving these smaller channels a boost those intesrested can sub to them and have a different experience. None of them have the same setups.
All the people in the video are awesome humans, who I’m really happy to show case their rooms, show the community that you can make a room according to what you like and what appeals to you :)
@@BuildMontage exactly because so many showcase rooms but they are often way out of normal budget realm. I just passed 20K and still feel like its a beginners room lol. All I have left is speaker upgrades and ill be satisfied and its more than adequate for the space I built. Im almost there :)
My channel generally I showcase diy rooms. My regular content includes a tour once a month or so. Mostly I’m all about diy advice and motivating people to get into the hobby. My new build is coming along too!
Which projector screen you will suggest for espon 5050ub. I need fixed screen. I am so confused in selecting the projector screen. My home threater is fully light controlled.
I'm a rather indecisive person. I would love to build a HT but there's just toooo many options I would have no idea where to start. And well then theres the budget...
One of my favorites which is not widely acclaimed but sounds fantastic in my theater room is the first Gi Joe movie. The LFE and effects were pretty great and the upmix was surprisingly good through my Atmos speakers too. It's 5.1 sound.
HAHA! Actually I'm far more skilled on the tech side (my channel was supposed to be gaming PC builds!) but I ended up going down the Home Theater path. BadSeedTech is a LEGEND! My beard is a little more wild though - his is very manicured :D
@@BuildMontage That's really awesome to know! And as a budding audioholic, I fully admire your conviction to your craft. 👍 Haha, yeah, gotta love Brian. His reviews always touch the details that I'm wanting out of reviewers, so gotta give him props! And the epic beard adds clout in my eyes. 😅 Glad I found your channel... I look forward to watching more from you and seeing your channel grow further. ✌️
Thanks your videos are helping me a lot in planning my home theatre room. Can I please request you to share the prices ( a ball park figure) of each setup, only the equipment. Cheers.
It surprised me how may of these cool theatres don't have acoustic treatment. Massive amounts of money spent on the producing of sound but no way of making sure it doesn't crash and reflect off all the walls essentially ruining the sound.
Hi Tony, Iam planning to do 7.2 setup from my current 2.1 setup that is sony strdn 1080 AVR, 2 x klipsch R820F and a Pb2000. What are the additional stuff I need to run this setup other than speakers?. I don't understand how 1 amp is connected to fronts speakers and others to different channels.i only have one avr. So confused...
Maybe I will send you a video of my setup. 144” screen and upgrading soon to a 25’ or 300” screen, auro-3D, ATMOS, Dolby Digital, IMAX sound running 25 channels in the auro-3D configuration, video capability of 8K (be happy when more is out for that), but most of the collection of movies is blu-ray and 4K. Everything is top of the line for the ultimate in theater viewing. Zipitti video system running the 8 drive setup with 8x18TB or 144 TB of storage and the 4K pro running 2x16TB or 32TB more storage and red carpet cinema for the movie you jut cannot want for the home release, yah I have lots of news friends after I built this system. I think I have just about every movie made except the old stuff I would not play on a old crt monitor, even with all the latest in video processing they still look like crap. D-Box Heated and cooler setting, usb charging ports, lit cup holders that are also cooled if wanted to keep your drink cold and the ice from melting. Yep spared no expense (Jurassic Park fans will get that one). For as long as I could remember I wanted my own theater, many times thought of opening one for the public but not giving up over 90% of the ticket sales and still having to pay the rent on the movie, sorry but no thanks.
Some great home theatres right there! It was awesome to follow the video coming together on Discord! Also, Barrett and his family watching a movie: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lEFx1qmW4ts.html
@@BuildMontage I hope the video is doing well, also congrats on a video crossing the 100k views mark! Did you watch the video I linked for Barrett? I hope he doesn't mind, but I found it hilarious as I watched the video and saw how many W RMS he has going the video I linked just popped into my mind :)
Whats the point in this High Performance AV networking design, if all devices support at most 1 gigabit connection? The Media Players, receiver the projector is even less. You could play 1080p on 100mb cheap switch as well. I don't know why they build this forest of stuff that is useless. Why not put 4 40 gigabit switches and let them eat power and blink the lights. Speaker color in gloss matters as much as you gonna climb behind speaker to look at it. You cannot even see much color from front. Point is, glossy in the movie room is a big NO.
@@BuildMontage speakers are ugly and not visually interesting. Their quality derives from their audio. Most houses have to much visually going on anyway.
You make good videos, I don’t understand why you change your pronunciation & use foreign terms. In Australia we go to the cinema to watch movies, I have a home cinema & I go to the theatre to listen to live music or watch the ballet. Metric system is much more accurate too, if I went to Bunnings & asked for a length of “alu-moon-im ”, I’d sound like a fool. You’re a top bloke & speaking more like an Ozzy will get you more subscribers.
Thanks mate, I’ve had to change a few things because my primary audience (over 70%) is USA and when I speak ‘Strayan, they have no idea what I’m saying. Then I have to spend my time in the comments section responding to the same question. I know where you’re coming from though.
