Is this channel a spoof or are you serious?

Hi Real HiFi, is it "they don't have access to the information" or is it too much noise from those who let their credentials say this is rubbish? If we can believe a paper cone sounds different than a poly cone, why is it difficult to admit that silver cables and low quality high strand copper cables have a different frequency and ohm rating, thus altering part of the signal transmitted? These things make smaller incremental differences - like you said, the room is always the first place to start and makes the biggest difference in my experience. Cheers and thank you.

Yes if you are lucky/have good skills. Not recommended for most people.

Thank you for this video, quite interesting. When you mention that one should try to use the lx96 in a single wire of 96 thread configuration, does it mean 96 thread for plus and 96 thread for minus? So actually one would need two cables per speaker? Or can I get away with 2x48 thread for a bookshelf speaker?

I was thinking about 1x 96 cable treads being made into 1 plug. So that means 2x cables if you are running a singlewire speaker. It makes the sound more impressive. Whereas as dividing it into 2 makes it more weak/polite in sound. Especially bookstand speakers need more thread so they get more of a big speaker type of sound.

@@RealHIFIHelp good to know. I understood before that one cable was enough, thank you

@@RealHIFIHelp Hi, sorry to interject but, how do i tell the AN guys to do this configuration? 3m single wire pair terminate with silver banana plug ?
@RealHIFIHelp
@RealHIFIHelp 3 года назад
@@hansiangng2808 Just buy it of some place like Hificollective.co.uk and take it to your local Audio Note store. Or some other Audio Note store in another country. (since there are not many in the world)

@@RealHIFIHelp I dont think there is a AN store here in my country, but there is a distributor/dealer. and used are super rare here. Would bare wire w/o connector work as good? Thanks.

Hi, wanted to ask. AN Isis cables are way thicker than LX. Can they be terminated with a single banana end or does the cable need to be split in two like Biwire? Will there be detriment in the sound if done like that? Thank you

Hello As far as I can see, it it a single wire construction, and should be used as such. But it might be possible to use it as bi-wire. Personally I would treat it as single-wire and use audio note banana silver plugs, then run it like the LX96 at the low terminals, and then use ISIS connectors to feed the HF terminals. (from LF - HF) More threads usually gives more power/control/natural warmth. (most times) Doing that creates a very different priority, that is very different from direct bi-wire. It usually creates a more natural way of loading/unloading the sound that is more traditional and heavy, where the other way directly into the speaker is a more honest and untainted/direct sound that requires more of the speaker/amp/cable and rest of the system. (doing this bi-wire way especially with a good high quality cable, makes it possible to get more or an amp/speaker original sound than the added bit of cable functioning as the negotiator) I just like personally doing it this way, because it feels it makes it easier to forgive the system for it's faults but in a high class way, and the sound is a bit more rare/home live, where it just settles more, and is more about the music/flow/weight, rather than this other type of energy which could easily showcase what is wrong in the audio system especially if it is done wrongly. It's a bit like a support wheel on a bike, helping the user of an audio system. But yeah when you don't have a connector or clips, it does also change the timing a bit. So always fun to try all the combinations you could dream of. (to fully know what priority fits you personally) And it hugely also has to do with the speaker you own. I feel that this more old school recycled energy way that I talk about, is really good on basically all speakers and cables in general. But that there is also a different charm, doing it the opposite way, especially if the cable and speaker is really good. If in doubt just contact audio note via their email, they usually are pretty fast to respond. Personally my way of doing things is a bit different from Peter's from Audio Note. But he is in the end the guy that usually knows a bit more than me. Personally if I had an endless amount of money. I would run 2 sets of single wire ISIS cable to the audio note speaker. That is in theory a lot better, because of more threads. But extremely expensive. I talk about this in my better than bi-wire video. Good question.

Thank you for your kind reply. Local AN tech in the USA claims cable is too thick to fit in a single banana plug. He claims maybe a spade. Are AN spades as good as the banana you propose?
@RealHIFIHelp
@RealHIFIHelp 3 года назад
@@karenyfreddy Their banana plugs are a tiny bit better in my opinion. I think that generally banana plugs are a tiny bit better than the spade version from the same manufactor/model. But yes AN spades are the most authentic spades I have heard, especially with audio note top cables. (but I have not heard so many spade plugs in my life) Personally I prefer banana plugs, because they don't slip, and usually have a tiny bit less metal in them, dominating the sound. Audioquest spades might also be pretty damn close, but I have not tried them yet, only their banana plugs. There is definitely something about the configuration of the AN ISIS cable, that could really trigger some interesting sounds. Taking into consideration how they made the threads inside into different thicknesses. AN ISIS and Sogon are the craziest cables I have every heard. I really wish I could own that stuff.
