I love Pineapple, Papaya, Coconut milk and a tiny bit of vanilla essence, it’s tastes lovely and it is anti inflammatory so it helps with period pain, endometriosis that sort of thing :)

Great receipes! If your kid isnt fond of bannanas...we use a frozen zuchinni!!! Also unflavored unjury (medical grade protein) is a great addition to help with weight gain. Beetroot and Strawberrys are a favorite!

We use smoothies as a good way to round out "breakfast for dinner" and also as an after school snack. I can make the smoothies and stick them in the fridge while I go pick them up, then when we all spill through the door, it's there waiting for them. Any fruit that looks like it's maybe on it's last day but we won't get to eating it, I will cut up and put into the freezer so I have it ready to go for smoothies. Also, I buy lots of berries when they go on sale, wash them, flash freeze them on a pan before I bag them and then have inexpensive berries just about year round. Can't wait to try your recipes!
My kids eat like crap. They only do good at breakfast. I waste so much food because i cook for them and they waste all of it. I'm about to just make them smoothies and call it a day. It's better than kraft mac n cheese and hotdogs. Or i could just put that in a blender 🤔.
Really lovely video Emily. A nice veggie alternative to banana is courgette as it makes the smoothie nice and smooth and reduces sugar ;) Great you added in carbs, protein & greens to really make them a proper meal for kiddies!

I made one of these today for my family and we loved it!! I finally have a breakfast solution for my 2 year old. ooh lala my fave is the beetroot strawberry smoothie! We're a veg fam of six so smoothies go down on the daily! Have you ever put avocado into your smoothies, Emily? Love adding them in for extra healthy fats for my four boys!
My girls love smoothies and because of that, the amount of spinach I've sneaked into them.... :) Orange smoothie should definitely be called something about Sunshine... Sunshine boost, Sunshine in a glass, Sunshine Juice, Sunshine Power etc 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Don’t know if I can ever have almond butter in my house again 😂 I drank the “midwives brew” the night I went into labor with my son and drinking almond butter mixed with juice and tea blended until it’s thick and frothy is definitely not pleasant lol

Sorry if this is a silly question but would these smoothies be ok for a 16 month old? I'm heading back to work soon after my extended maternity leave and start work at 7am. This means leaving the house before 6.30. my lo will have breakfast at nursery but the mum in me feels guilty for dragging him out the house that time of the morning with nothing in his belly, but I know it will be a rush for Breakfast x
Emily, do you think any of these recipes would make good home made lollies? Have you ever tried that? Would love to give them a go but I wonder would my daughter do better with a lolly rather than a smoothie? (Not for breakfast obvs!!)
I just made the carrot one and it was lovely but I used the amount you said and it was WAY too thick. Maybe my blender is too small but will have to half the recipe next time XD
I give my son his smoothies mixed up with yogurt that’s the only way he drinks them ,I put veggies and fruits and oats and chia seeds ,and at the end i put it with yogurt and he just thinks it’s yogurt

Please try not to touch your hair and then the food,just pull it back when your in the kitchen cooking ,that way it will not be in your face thereby you don't touch it . Why do so many people do that ? And then all you talk about is health and nutrition, what about hygiene. Sorry but I had to speak up, I owe it to the children that will be eating the food
