I’ve been having a lot of anxiety the past week or two, and I came across your videos again. Are used to watch your videos back in college. I am not a mom and I do not have a large family. I am a single woman in a single apartment. But your videos bring me so much comfort to watch before going to bed. Thank you for your content and your positive vibes
I‘m single and recently went low carb/keto for health reasons and am still working out the ratios of keto baking ingredients - once I get that worked out I’ll start making my own mixes. Thank you very much for this great and time saving idea 😊
I'm so happy I got my upright freezer delivered today! Im looking forward to making some of these mixes and cooking up for the freezer along with making some of her delicious freezer meals!
Omg congratulations 🥳 you are the best momma in the world!!! So kind loving patient!!! That's why god continue's to bless you!! I don't have Instagram or Facebook but I follow you ( not in a weird stalker way! More like I admire you as a mother wife and how strong our faith is) and when I haven't seen u on RU-vid I checked and seen the best news in the world!!! Sending nothing but positive and happiness to you and your family!!!!!
Here in the deep south we use buttermilk for our cornbread. I also use self rising meal and cook it in a seasoned cast iron skillet that I only use for cornbread. Of course we are all about cornbread with greens, peas, steamed cabbage, squash, etc.. Old southern cooking.
Thank you for the websites. I’m always looking for more ideas for my children’s homeschooling. We’ll be putting together some of these muffins and cake mixes!
So happy to have shelf stable mixes. We found that adding a teaspoon or so of vanilla to the muffin mix at the time of mixing really helped the blandness as well as adding fresh blueberries tossed in the mix to prevent sinking & topping with brown sugar. Just really grateful to have these ideas shared.
Many years ago there was a snack cake mix and someone came up with a dupe, it was wonderful, jut a small dessert for a weeknight. I have always loved having homemade mixes in my pantry, it really speeds up the baking process. Thanks for sharing, you are really helping new mommas!
I think this is the first video I have seen that you are so calm with such a quiet background and not a million things going on at the same time haha 😆 I’m like wow she looks so calm lol
Thank you so much for teaching us how to make these recipes. The pre-made packs in my country are relatively expensive so these are great to prep all at once and put them into the freezer. My Mum is in hospital at the moment as she was scheduled to have hip replacement surgery however she had a really bad fall in the shower and couldn't move on her own. I'm under the care of an amazing palliative care team (my local hospice is literally just around the corner from my house). Ten years ago when I was 32 my doctors gave me 2 years at the most to live. The Lord has blessed me with so much more time with my family making more memories however I'm bedridden 90% of the time now and very weak. I've had to wash, move, take mum to the toilet etc and it's been hard on both of us but the Lord gave me the strength needed. The one time that Dad helped her shower she had the fall and I felt guilty because I wasn't there but I was too dizzy and in horrific pain. She is in hospital now and because of covid we can't go see her and I'm so worried. I have aspergers and I have had to explain myself with long winded descriptions lots because I feel like I'm lying by omission if I don't. What I'm trying to say is thank you so much for making my day better. I can now prepare baking mixes so that I can easily make muffins etc for my parents. My Dad loves muffins so I'm going to try your recipe and put the rest of the mixes in the freezer for another time. Thank you again for being perfectly you and sharing your life with us. Your channel is where I go to see a friendly face and to learn a lot. By the way I just watched your big meals fundraising video and Naomi is such a beautiful young lady. I love her hair and positive attitude helping out when she was greatly needed. I can see the Lords light in your family which can be rare these days even amongst fellow Christians. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Xx
I was thinking about trying this, using my milk powder and scrambled egg powder to make a just add water mix. I love just add water meals in a jar and am looking to add some "just add water" baked goods to go with them.
Jamerrill, love your videos. I'm from New Zealand, I don't have a large family, but your recipes are wonderful...and these packs are what I need. Thank you for being so real.
Oh my gosh I love your vlogs I binge watch them all the time and I take your ideas 100percent seriously I can’t express how much I love your vlogs keep doing what you do your amazing
Very nice. Personally, would omit the lard until needed to make if keeping long-term. Am into having all kinds of mixes on hand...puddings, taco, ranch dressing, tomato sauce, onion soup mix, etc. saves money and you don’t deal with preservatives, get larger portions, and store for a long time. When you put them together, you realize the ingredients you need to have on hand to make them yourself. Even deydrated salsa and ground into a seasoning...so good. Keep up the videos. You are full ideas, energy, and just a nice person. Don’t know how you find time for yourself in between everything You do!
I've done something similar for Christmas gifts. Layer all the dry ingredients into a pretty jar, cover with a lid and gingham material tied with twine or ribbon and hand write the baking instructions on a little brown luggage tag and attach to the jar. They're always appreciated.
My mother used to get so mad at me because I would not eat anything without smelling it first. I'm old now and still do it. These would be great to send with college youngsters. Thanks😊
I love reading eggs! The school I teach at purchases a membership every year for our students to use in the classroom and at home. I also like math seeds!
I did the muffin mixes n baked banana.muffins.. soo moist n delicious..best i ever baked.. substitited sunflower oil for the shortening... s cinnamon powder n vanilla along.with the 1 egg n cup of non diarymilk. Thanks Jamerrill
Thank you, Jamerrill for these recipes! I live vicariously through you!! Lol.. By the way, the Reading Eggs program is very helpful! It helped greatly in the teaching of my son how to read. We had the free 30 days, with another free extension (3-4 years ago) and he loved it. Very easy to learn with that program.
I'm going to get busy making these packs and sealing them with my new toy (FoodSaver)! This fall and winter I'll be able to grab and bake without the extra work. Thanks Jamerill!
Jamerrill you are a blessing to us all. You manage to come up with so many ideas that are helpful. Thanks for sharing and I will be trying this. God bless you all.
Just got my 6yo started on the free trial. I like that they do not ask for your credit card so they don't charge you when you forget to cancel. She has been "playing" for about 20 min. and seems to like it. I like that it keeps changing activities so they do not get bored. They change up the same material so it doesn't seem like they are doing the same thing over and over. If she continues to like it I will buy a subscription.
That brand of cornmeal has an excellent corn muffin recipe on the back. I double it and freeze the muffins. This mix idea is great. I am going to try it. Thx!😃
I love your kitchen. The color is so pretty. And it has a similar, even though smaller, layout as your other one. Your whole house is lovely. I'm house shopping now and your moves have inspired me!💜
Thank you so much for sharing these packet recipes Jamerrill!!! I very much enjoy your vlog! It’s a lot of fun to see how your ‘Sudden Homestead’ is progressing🥰
dollar tree sells round plastic containers with small handles like a basket. It makes a light-weight mixing bowl for mixing large amounts of dry baking ingredients. Much easier than using a metal mixing bowl.flexible. too. When I 'm being good and weighing rather than measuring, it works great on a kitchen scale.
Please take care of yourself, we can help with prayers and our love for all you do. Don’t get to tired, enjoy family and special times with hubby. Kathleen
Sarah Richards jamerill is doing fine. I think that she is a bit behind on uploading videos lately due to life. She also announced on her Instagram that she is expecting a baby due spring 2021.
Many years ago like 40 my neighbor and I used to get together twice a month. At the time there was a great cookbook that was called make a meal I think that's what it was called I still have it and we would get together and make up these packets and it was for large amounts and you could break it down and she would take half and I would take half and we always had these on hand it had great recipes for hot chocolate spices herbs cake mixes cookies and all we had to do was add basic ingredients and take I think like two or three cupfuls of the mix and add it all together and you could change up you can make chocolate chip cookies or cranberry orange cookies I used to give it for gifts all the time with the instructions of how to do it and everybody loved it. The other time we got together we made bread we spent the entire day making bread we made regular sandwich bread sourdough bread raisin bread rye bread and again we split it all wrap it all up so we could put it in the freezer and then when we wanted to make some we just pop it out and have it. Very fond memories of that time. I enjoy watching you because you do so many things that are similar.
Thanks for sharing Jamerrill! I’ve been making a few of these mixes but usually put all of it in one large airtight container. Not sure why I never thought to pack them by batches. Great Idea! The muffin one is new to me so I’ll be making that tmrw 😊 Thanks again!
Wonderful to see you!!! Thank you so much. It seems that more and more are using different types of things to get their messages across, Instagram for one. I love hearing and seeing you and your family and farm.Thank you so very much for all you do. Kathleen
When I make up large batches of mixes I use the 2 gallon bags you can get from the dollar store......also great for cut up watermelon......You only get 5 per box but very easy to rewash.....holds lots of food for freezer or frig for large fsmilies
