Fell in love with this trail, it was worth the climb and I would do it all over again without a doubt! I am a big fan of flowy trails like this so that is why I liked it so much. The heat was tough but we made it out okay haha, there is a decent amount of parking and the start of the climb is directly across the parking lot (where the sticker box is). The fire road climb is called "central camp road" and its just a 9 mile climb to the start of the trail. Use to camp at Bass Lake when we were kids back in the 70’s…Always wanted to go back and ride that trail.

This spot looks dope dude! That looked like bear poop btw lol... Good call on taking a break on the climb up too, lots of people would push themselves but i think its smart sometimes to just reset, let your heartrate come down and stabilize s bit, especially in the heat.

It was a treat forsure! Haha I had a strong feeling it came from a bear 😂yeah the heat is scary! The good thing is that there is a lot of people going up and down that road so if anything would have happened to me I’m sure someone would have helped, but I’d rather be safe than sorry and take breaks along the way 😅🙌

Good riding dude! Glad you liked 007! I am a local from the surrounding area and always ride around bass lake/shaver lake. If you find yourself visiting again we have so much more within bass lake and then in Shaver lake. (not too far from Bass) Shaver lake is a different type of riding but really good and I think you’d like it! I have some vid’s on my channel if you would like to see.

I did almost the same thing last year i brought my travel trailer to Yosemite for 3 weeks and i commuted back to la for work twice and on the way back i went to bass lake to ride i did the trails on the other end of the lake i think moon rosk and mary jane and then willow creek it was rad! Super pretty and awesome granite slabs lots of fun ill have to try 007 out next time i do it

Yeah most people ride 007, but Mary Jane is up there as an all time trail. Definitely always recommend this trail.

Very nice riding Brother I love your videos man good job keep up the great work and keep riding ride or die Brother or ride till you die happy trails. And I just installed new forks some Rock Shox Pike with the buttercups and it’s a 140m travel and a new sram 12 speed chain with a SRAM GX shifter and a SRAM GX derailer I’m so happy with my new upgrades my tall boy is so smooth now I love this bike well happy trails out there Brother much Love ❤️💪🌲🏔️🌲
