Korean Radish Pickled 4 Ways
●Pickling Solution:
-1 cup Vinegar, White or Rice
-1 cup Water
-1 cup Sugar
-2 tsp Salt
●치킨 무 Chicken Mu:
-Korean Radish, diced into cubes
-Pickling Solution
-2 Tablespoons Sprite (optional)
-Chili or Pepper, optional for spicy
●단무지 Danmuji:
-Korean Radish, diced or sliced
-Pickling Solution
-1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
-Sugar, to taste
●쌈무 Ssam-Mu:
-Korean Radish, sliced thinly
-Pickling Solution
-1/4 cup Water, to dilute
-Beet, sliced (optional for color and slight earthy flavor)
●무생채 Musaengchae (Radish Salad):
- Korean Radish, sliced into strips
-1 tsp Salt (if you prefer to squeeze out excess water, set aside for 5 minutes)
-2 or 3 cloves Garlic, minced
-1 Green Onion, sliced
-2 tsp Gochugaru, or to taste
-2 to 3 TBSP Pickling Solution, to taste
-2 Perilla Leaves, sliced thinly (optional)
*Set in jars to refrigerate overnight for best flavor and color!
