Adam, great video, outstanding fishing for sure! Do yourself a favor and find a decent glove that works for you and buy a case of them. Split them up into ziplock bags and hide them in your dry locker ON THE BOAT!! You never know when the next big tangle is going to happen - you don't always get a "do over" when it comes to severing fingers or hands. You've got a good thing going with Movin' Weight and your boys. Keep catching and be a good steward of the ocean! Peace.
Ryan made those gaff shots look so chill, like bro I got this dont even worry haha. Nice trip boys, wish we could get out but Jup inlets been too rough for our little boat! New one on order though, going bigger like you did with a 28 SeaHunter Floridian! Good to know Mike is open that early, beats the hell out of that McD's crap I usually stop for!!
I've never gone for wahoo so dont roast me..but why maintain such a high speed the whole time after the hook up? I understand after the initial run but then it seems to extend the fight and pressure?
Multiple reasons to go fast - 1) because they have MULTIPLE lines out at the same time, and there MAY be a school that will all hit at the same time, but not if they slow down. 2) if they keep the speed up, the hooked fish won't be able to overcome the straight drag behind the boat, otherwise they zig-zag across the other lines and make a terrible tangled up mess. All this gear is SUPER tough, so they're not going to bust any lines. 3) It wears down the fish, after a few minutes, they can just reel-in in a straight line with the fish essentially skipping across the water straight back to the boat, all while continuing to fish the other lines. They finally slow down just long enough to gaff, then back up to speed again. Well-oiled machine.
Dude I wish 65 is a cold morning 😂 I hate Jersey it was 23!5)8: morning when I left the ramp and I’m on a 19cc so you I’m snowmanning the whole 19 miles out if the wreck. Wish I was in Florida I’d be in shorts and a tshirt in 65. Nice slinky limit 🤙
I like the deep diving Nomad DTX 200-220 if you don’t want to deal with weights. Large Islander style lures with Horse ballyhoo and trolling weights. If you don’t run electric or a down rigger.
Mike Rinaldi! Tell him to make it "nice"! And tell him his people from around the way say "Hello" . But did you really have a Rinaldis sandwich if he didn't throw it to you?! OG from Rinaldi's Country Deli here... I can't tell you how many steak, egg, chili and cheeses made "nice" I had before class in the morning in high school. His sister Gina was THE BEST!
Funny how Adam isn't jerking around filming and missing gaff shots like he did on CJ's boat. Taking things a bit more serious now that he has his own business & boat. Nice video Broski. From North Palm Beach🤙
Adam, you need new gear, stay away from those leaders you have to hand wind, use those in-line connections where the planers hook up to. You had a great Day !
Hey bro I really enjoy ur videos, and I'm looking to move from Tx to Florida, what does a Mexican have to do to be part of the moving weight crew, I'm serious
I may not know much about high speed trolling for 'hoos, but it seems that maybe you are keeping the speed up a bit too high after hookup if all the fish are dead by the time you land them. Never seen that before.
Actually most guys keep the speed up to drive the hook home, and if they’re coming up dead the chances of them shaking their heads and shaking the hook go way down. When we troll at 9kts w a mixed spread we miss a lot of strikes
Agreed he needs to slow down a little. Up in the northeast we get them on the troll at 7 mph and we slow down to idle. They can’t reel them in efficiently when they are dragging the fish so hard they are spiraling around. Probably why it takes them so long to get them in.
