nah facts and they say Westbrook aint the problem if he had just made simple layups and not turn it over and not guard the air on defense then we are at least a 7 seed
The best advice was from Shaq when he told him to slow down, the guy is simply playing too fast on the offense for the rest of the team and himself and then he recovers his breathe during defense
Yeah that’s true. That’s his main problem. He used to be one of the most athletic players. But his athleticism declines while he still plays the same way he did before.
yes, he always did this, BUT, before he could get away playing like this because he had an insane athletic ability and his scoring numbers were better than now...
Make one of his bumass defense please. I get so tired of hearing media say he goes 100%. Dude literally goes 50 to 35% if he is airballing, laying bricks, and leaving his guy wide open
@@purplepanther3585 I remember when it was sprite and bubblicious gum now it's basically green hulk's n shit, what's next "Trojan, the official condom of the NFL"
I've never seen a PG missed so much easy layups. I remember Kobe making those airballs during the playoffs in his early season then constantly improving each year as he does not want to get embarrassed again. I don't know about Russ, he's making 40+ million a year and keeps making the same mistakes.
Especially the first play. You should know that if you leave your man at that spot, he will simply cut to the basket. Help defense has their own man to guard, and will not be able to help.
Yeah what was that re: the first clip? There were already 3 guys way closer. He runs over, and the ball handler fires a pass to his open guy for a gimme dunk, basically. You don't do that in 9th grade PE class, let alone the pros.
@@keithwhite222 exactly lol airballing free-throws,missing wide open dunks and layups, bricking on the side of the backboard 🤣🤣 has nothing to do with Bron
Makes you wonder how he even made it this long in the league with such a low bbiq. Straight up leaves his man as the farthest defender away from the ball to try and do what exactly? Get a steal? Double team a guy that's a mile away?
Wow! On that second one, not only did he make a terrible shot, but just before that he just didn't feel like playing defense so he just stood there. A Legend in his own Mind!
I went to a game this season and at one point he turned the ball over and one fan screamed out “44 million for this??!!!” It was hilarious and sad since I’m a Laker fan.
I find it hilarious how so many people put this team down as a, “Finals Contender” after the Westbrook trade happened, i knew from the beginning this wasn’t going to work out at all.
Watching Westbrook get exposed this season makes me so happy for so many reasons. I've never liked him and I never will. He's cocky, entitled, selfish, lazy, rude, and a poor sport. LeBron and the Lakers are so obsessed with making a superteam that they forgot something: winning teams need chemistry and role players who are willing to sacrifice their egos and work HARD for wins. It's so nice to see everyone wake up to what an imposter Westbrook is. Furthermore it's great to see franchises that focus on gobbling up and hoarding the league's talent instead of actually developing a work ethic fall on their faces.
It was never about making a “superteam.” Lebron is almost 40 and AD keeps getting injured. They needed to take the load off of them and look to the future beyond Lebron because AD was never going to be it. Since Dame didn’t accept their offer, the next available person was unfortunately Westbrook.
This stat padding turnover machine that can't shoot finally got exposed. It's hard to play defense on the perimeter when you're standing around the rim waiting for a rebound.
@@reddogqb123 Dwight and McGrady went through injuries that derailed their career, especially TMAC in which he suffered a torn acl and was never the same since.
I remember people would look at me crazy and even call me stupid. Even go to the sorts of arguing with me when I would say that Russell Westbrook wasn’t a championship point guard. That he was overrated, both offensively and defensively. This was around 12 13 14 season. Lol I was right the whole time.
If yall actually watch Lakers games instead of just hearing what other people think of Russ or just looking at the box score, then yall would realize the Lakers' problem is just not about Westbrook. Their defense is the biggest problem. They don't have a good defensive bigman and nobody is even trying on defense. LeBron playing the Center works offensively, but defensively he just won't exert the same amount of energy and he usually doesn't box his man out. Westbrook isn't even trying on defense and he ballwatches way too often. Melo is just a terrible defender regardless of the effort he put into defense. Monk is undersized and is often not strong enough to play good defense. Dwight is just simply too old and he's not athletic enough to compete with other bigmen. There's a reason why they're the 4th worst defensive team in the league after the all star break and why they're 3-10 after the all star break.
If this dude focused on the mid range game he'd be stupid. The greats did it. Can't jump and over speed like they used to but we're still fast enough in deception an the ability to know when to leave a defender jumping flat footed
It seeming so obvious to everyone Russ would be a bad fit, combined with what a genius mind lebron is, I just assumed he was seeing something way beyond what we could... but maybe not?? The whole argument of lebron thinking "well Imma win with Russ when no one else could to further my legacy" seemed ridiculous at first but I'm coming around to it a bit
Westbrook never developed a good basketball IQ because he had a cheat code: his athleticism. He didn’t need to know much, he could just zig zag through everything and everyone. Now that his athleticism is starting to decline you can see how low his basketball IQ actually is.
Literally ruined the Lakers for 2 years and has no awareness about it. I have never in my life seen a player lose entire games for a team, the way Westbrook did with the Lakers. He would literally ruin every possession.
In a roundabout way, Dressbrick made a fan of me this season. I never paid attention to him before because I disliked how his game was all meathead athleticism and no skill or IQ, but these bloopers have been so hilarious season that I've started to follow him. Not because I like Russ or his game, but because he's been so bad it's funny so he became a source of comedy and it's fun to laugh at him!
@@cinecrime I think LeBron had leverage in the beginning, but now it’s gone. Lakers FO realize the mess they’re in now and for the foreseeable future. That team is screwed.
Something is happening in the locker room because it’s easy to get this guy frustrated, and the lakers locker room is probably very toxic with Lebron looking at himself all high and mighty which isn’t good for locker room situations, I don’t think it’s the media I think it’s the people with the lakers
1:01 ... why did he choose to throw the ball and in turn, a chance of winning the game in to the stands like that ? He obviously did that on purpose, but why ?
Takes zero accountability. Makes countless excuses. Said he’s allowed to miss shots and turn the ball over. Said he had no expectations for this season. Argued with reporters. Threw Vogel under the bus Threw LeBron and AD under the bus. I wouldn’t feel bad for him one bit. He’s a narcissist who blames others for his own shortcomings.
