Since joining the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook has received his fair share of criticism. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis in and out of the lineup, the Lakers are currently sitting at 17-19 in the NBA western conference. As such, FOX sports commentators Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have been particularly critical of Westbrook's play. In this video, Skip and Shannon spend 12 minutes roasting Russell Westbrook, breaking down his turnovers, missed layups and dunks, and late-game blunders.

This is actually incorrect. In the 2021-2022 season, Russell Westbrook had 295 turnovers and was getting paid an annual salary of $44,211,146 and when you divide 44,211,146 by 295, Westbrook gets paid around a total of $149,868 a turnover LOL

I don't get it. Westbrook is averaging per game: 18.1 PTS, 7.6 REB, 7.2 AST with his same career shooting avg of 43%. So what gives?! BTW, his FG% is higher than Edwards, Ball, Stephen Curry, Love, Harden, Conley, Russell, Van Fleet, Randle, Klay, Barrett, etc.

This man averaged a triple double for damn near three seasons straight, and now he's producing less and turning the ball over more. That's all it is. He's lost half a step. It's okay and it happens to every great player around this point in their career, people forget Lebron is a genetic freak and while he might even be improving his shooting game, and being as physically dominant as ever in the paint, he's not a normal dude.Different animals and I feel like people expect the same results out of every 35 year old all star now, unfairly.

He has been this way his whole career. Tons of mindless turnovers and careless passes. His athleticism was his biggest strength but also his biggest enemy cuz he never had to level up his game to get to the next level. He should have achieved more given his talent. But instead, he has been a horrible defender, inconsistent finisher at the rim and a bad playmaker. This would go down as one of the worst trades for the Lakers in recent years.

I used to think that he was sabotaging Durant. Allen Iverson was a ball hog surrounded by guys that scored 8 ppg but he would pass to Durant. Westbrook would never pass to Durant. Even with his triple doubles, my opinion remains, he has horrible fundamentals. He is an athletic freak but he doesn’t have the best handles or even a decent jump shot. With the new NBA rules this season, he among other PGs are getting exposed.

The only one slightly lagging behind is Harden, but that could be with him being frustrated in Brooklyn and now that he's on the 76ers he seems back to his old Houston Self.

Westbrick’s 2022 season might have been the absolute worst performance by a former MVP, the worst performance by a player making over $40 million, the worst by an All-Star Game MVP…. It wasn’t just a bad game or a bad stretch of games, the man was terrible ALL season long. Maybe Russ done got them Yips, like they get in baseball. Shot selection was bad, decision making was terrible, AND he’s lost some of that athleticism he used to have so he goes to dunk and bricks them off the back rim.
