I just photographed Kameron in drag at Axis nightclub last Friday. She said she took a break for a few months and moved. I think she’s just doing drag less.
Kameron does this every now and then. She goes on a break to take care of herself, deletes everything on her social media to cleanse herself and comes back down the line.
I had no idea that Kameron had lost her boyfriend last year. I know exactly how she feels. I lost my fiancé and partner of four years back in August, and I am less than a shell of my former self without him. My heart is truly with her. No one deserves to go through that kind of pain. 😞💔🕊️

Princess Poppy just did a club gig at Pirahna is Las Vegas last weekend. While I don't think she quit drag, I do think she's taking a small break and maybe slowing down in appearances.
What are you saying is causing PTSD? I mean, the show filming period could be traumatic for any queen. I'm likely just forgetting. It's been forever since I've watched that Season. I do remember Latrice taking us all to church while Kenya did acrobatic stunts. Not at all saying you're wrong here, just honestly don't recall.
@@pembrokelove I vaguely remember hearing that now. How does anyone recover from that level PTSD?!? I was browsing on Facebook when it happened and saw several live streams, most from outside the club. It was surreal and hard to fathom as you see people from your community explaining what was happening, many injured, screams of terror and gunshots in the background. Knowing there's nothing you can do to help those in danger from afar makes you feel so powerless and emotional, especially hearing the pain in their voices and seeing others frozen in shock. I hope she's working with a mental health professional to address her experience and intense trauma.
You forgot to mention Nina Flowers runner up from Season 1. She is no longer doing drag for over 7 years already. She retired from Drag. She just do make up for DJ. Now Jorge Flores is DJ Flowers. No longer doing Nina Flowers.
Poppy as far as I know hasn’t quit Drag, because I saw someone post on Twitter a picture with Poppy in Drag a couple days ago, so I think that she’s just not on social media much anymore.
It's surprising to me how tragedy and messiness has affected the Season 8 cast. Poor Chi Chi passed away, Dax Exclamation Point left their group chat, and Robbie Turner went into isolation.
The other two chose to do their thing. Robby CHOSE to lie and Dax CHOSE to leave the group chat. Yes it’s messiness but it’s not even close to dying from a disease ♥️ For me personally it shouldn’t be compared

Dax apparently was always left out or forgotten by her own cast. Naysha stated at Roscoes during a s15 viewing that Dax left the group chat over issues like this. One I remember she said they were going somewhere as a group and realized that they forgot Dax wasn’t even in the van. They had drove off without her. I would have to take my leave if things like this kept happening as well.
I was going to say seems odd for a queen to quit while the season is running and not wait until at least after the finale (although I don't know how much it would help since she was an early out on a season with so many queens).

I just saw Carmen Carrera perform on Monday March 20th at Heart in West Hollywood. Whether she still identifies as a drag performer or strictly a trans woman is for her to say, but she clearly still performs lip sync numbers alongside queens like Utica, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Gigi Goode, Symone & Godoy. ❤️

I was so disappointed with the news that Soju is a terrible person. I was a fan of hers before drag race, especially for her Kpop content. The past will always come back to bite you...good riddance
I really liked Robbie Turner from season eight. (It was the third season of drag race that I watched. As I started watching the series in season six.) It's very sad that he felt he had to lie about a whole lot of situations. I hope that if he ever did decide to go back to drag he is able to redeem himself.
Wow. Idk Kenya was at Pulse. I knew Cynthia was supposed to be there that night but I may be remembering this wrong. I'm sure the tragedy and her drag are inexorably intertwined in such a way that I would quit too.
I didn’t know about Kenya either but I do remember Cynthia talking about being at Pulse. It cannot even begin to imagine how horrifying it must have been.
I just rewatched season 9 with my friend and Cynthia mentioned when discussing it that Kenya was at Pulse that night. I didn’t pick up before so it just shocked me

Soju assaulted someone when she had a gig in Seoul. My friend has a cell phone video of the person crying about how it was their fault for getting so drunk (Soju kept making them take shots) and letting Soju pull them into the bathroom.

The honey pot is still open they just haven’t updated the website.. the rarely do drag shows .. mainly male dancers , rap performances and host birthday parties.. it’s just a regular after party spot where predominately poc lgbt + go .. it’s known for it’s stripper pole in the middle of the dance floor (that gets knocked down monthly 🤣) , an outdoor area which has a bar and amazing food. ❤️

I actually appreciate someone who will state a drag character is just that, a character that is one of many that a performer has chosen to present. I think that we forget that all these RuGirls are people who have invented and developed a character that is a hyper-feminized, fabulous fantasy, not a real person.
I would LOVE to see the return of Ivy Winters, Alisa Summers, Milan, Phi Phi O'Hara, Kenya Michaels, Akashia, Tyra Sanchez, Rebecca Glasscock, Lashauwn Beyond, Robbie Turner. I enjoyed them all for different reasons and have a lot of love for the queens from the older seasons.

Scaredy Kat from Rpdr UK also has seemingly quit because her social media presence has disappeared with no more word about her from any of her season competitors or girlfriend.

Being the runner-up to someone he seemed to utterly DESPISE on season 4 (Sharon) had to stick in Jerami's craw. No wonder that, when he came back for his run on All-Stars, he was so bitter towards Katya and Alyssa. He was going around to Werk room dropping disgusting little bits of shade towards Roxxxy and others. Tatianna picked up on it quickly and said in a confessional, "If you're gonna play a game, at least play it right." She got eliminated, and I think that was the right choice.
Remember the mini challenge “Female or Shemale?” Pepperidge Farm remembers. For younger viewers the first couple seasons had a mini challenge where Ru would post pictures and the cast had to guess if it was a cis female or a drag performer (which makes a tasteless assumption that only cis males do drag). Needless to say if you rewatch these seasons the mini challenge has mysteriously disappeared like Phi Phi and Sherry Pie.
Ew. That's disgusting. I'm pretty new to the franchise, I've been watching for just over a year and started w season 7 bc of Trixie and Katya. Knowing how RuPaul is about trans folk and gender in general, that doesn't surprise me but it very much disappoints me.
Lol when they had the reunion I didn’t get the Rebecca reference of poppy and that’s why I actually thought that she meant it when she said her killer line of quitting drag. Then when I saw how ppl talked about the reference I thought she was just genius. Because my going “underdressed” she didn’t just stand out but made a very funny reference and a killer line to boot. The whole comment section was filled with ppl loving that entrance of hers and I was like: wouldn’t be surprised if we see her in another season again. But now after hearing what you said it probably wasn’t even a joke 😭
The funny thing about being a free human being, is the true freedom to do it or don't do it whenever you want to, and have total control of your own life. I love Drag Race. I feel pretty open minded. I will no doubt get a lot of hate from this question, but I don't understand how a drag queen (who is born male, but likes the female persona, but who is gay)....is different from a transgender female who likes guys....i would truly like to be informed. Please be patient. It seems like drag queens like to be women, but still like men, intimately. And it seems like transgender women are those born male but wish to be female, yet they are attracted to males. It is all so confusing. Before you all "hate"....please know that i am just trying to understand. I don't want to be misunderstood and hated, I just want to understand and get my brain around it. I am 59 years old and doing my best to be current. Thanks!
Hi Melissa! I don't think anyone who wants to learn, and is asking questions in good faith deserves any hate at all. I am not a drag queen nor am I a trans woman. I am trans non-binary, but with that being said I will try to answer your question with what I know. The best way to think about this is to separate drag from gender all together. Drag is a performance art form. Anyone of any gender and sexual orientantion can do drag. Most drag queens are gay men, who as you said develop a female persona for their performance art and work. However outside of their work, they are men. They do not identify as women, they do not feel female in any way. They are men. They are men who are attracted to other men. But of course there are men who do drag who are bisexual or any other sexual orientation. There are even some straight men who do drag! That might come as a surprise, but it's true, they exist even if they're a minority. There are also transgender men who are drag queens. You said you love drag race, so you probably know about Gottmik. He's a transgender man who is a drag queen, but outside of his drag work, he's a guy. Now when it comes to transgender women, as you said, trans women were assigned male at birth, but they identify as female. Their body does not match their gender identity. They are women, they want to be referred as women in their daily life. They don't have a female persona, they are in fact women. That's very different from male drag queens, where they play a female persona character for their drag work only. Transgender people can have any sexual orientation just like people who are not trans. Trans women are not always attracted to men, there are trans women who are only attracted to other women. There are bisexual trans women, and asexual trans women, and any other sexual orientation. As you can see, gender identity and sexual orientation are *independent* of each other. One does not dictate the other. So to recap the most important points: 1. Drag is a perfomance art and a persona/character. 2. Men who are drag queens are men outside of their drag performance. 3. Trans women who are drag queens, are women outside of their drag performance too. They transition physically and socially because they identify as women, not men. 4. Trans women can have any sexual orientation. They can be gay, straight, bi etc. Because gender identity and sexual orientation are independent of one another. I sincerely hope this helps! Tennessee is not a safe place for drag queens right now. It would not surprise me if the new TN laws were part of the reason why Kameron stays away from drag.
I'm a bit confused. Several of the Queens that you have stated have quit Drag are currently on recent Rupaul Drag Race Spin Offs either as Contestants or Lyp Synch Assansains. I think you need to get updated.
I honestly think that Tyra should be decrowned from her win on season 2 and the Crown be passed onto the runner up, raven, so she can carry the s2 crown. I think Tyra’s behaviour has been horrendous and not to mention criminal. I mean leaking queens numbers is 1 thing but making threats and then actually be banned from a drag race event. I mean it’s Just unprofessional and I don’t think she deserves to have that crown sitting at home. Raven is and always was in my opinion, the best of the 2 to represent drag race. That’s just my opinion anyways, it might seem a bit harsh but Tyra has gone too far in the past. X
After I read those reddit posts about soju, I started to gradually dislike her. I would just leave her alone afterwards, but I hope the people she victimized are very okay and are in a better place.
