Our 2 boy cats are always sticking their butt in our faces. They were abandoned 3 years ago and came to the house so we took them in. A week ago another abandoned kitten came to the house so we took her in. Didn't take long before she started sticking her butt in my face. Love my cats, butt in face and everything about them.

I've got an orange guy, Zeno, who grooms his butt for what seems like half his waking hours just for this reason. He trained my newly adopted 11 month old black cat, Pluto, all his naughty behaviors, but when Zeno puts his butt actually on my face while watching TV, Pluto learned that this means attention. My two 15 and 13 year old elders don't even give them the time of day. However, Pluto stepped it up and twerks in my face. You know the butt jiggles like they're spraying? He does that, but in my face to get scratches. Cats are weird.

My husband and I have had at least 2 cats at a time for over 2 decades. Mostly were female until my husband rescued a young male cat in 2017. Very sadly, we lost our 2 senior girls in 2021 a few months apart. In 2022 we took in a male stray cat in our neighborhood, much to the chagrin of our first male, Dexy. We named our 2nd stray rescue, Kitty (I know, it’s not original. It was Mr. Kitty, but cut off the “Mr.”). Well, being I’m the primary cat caregiver and I took in Kitty and fed him, I guess I earned his trust. A few months ago, he started with the butt in my face and I had no idea what the heck it meant. I looked it up and was surprised it was a compliment! Until watching this video, I didn’t know what to do about it. Not I know that he’s seeking attention. He’s an older kitty. We took him to the vet not long after he was claimed and had to have some teeth extracted. Not cheap, but worth the love we receive! I love him as much as I love Dexy (short for Dexter. He was named by my husband. No, we never watched the show.) I will now be happy to give Kitty the attention he’s seeking when receiving the butt to my face, and I will gently turn him toward me in a subtle manner.

My Sid will lay on my chest for attention. Whenever he starts to lay down butt to my face. I always tell him "I love you too and you have a wonderful butt, but I wanna see your handsome face, not your handsome butt" and with a little nudge, he turns around...he's such an awesome cat!

I used to have six little girls. Whenever they would put their little butts in my face, I just rubbed their backs a little bit, and they would quickly turn around to stick their little faces in my face. I don’t know why people would make a big deal out of their cats booty. When you rub their head or their back, they immediately turn around. It’s almost like they’re expecting a rub somewhere on their back with her head and once they get it, they spin around so they say thank you. At least that’s how my girls were. The way to their heads that were there back was oddly through their butt. Lol.

My girl cat definitely does not turn around. When she does settle down, she is right at my side so I can put my arm around her, always facing out. It would be nice to see her face someday.

My cat insists on going into the bathroom whenever I do, and every time I flush the toilet, she has to watch it. She also watches me cook from the top of the fridge. If I'm busy and ignore her, she will nip me lightly to get attention.

Years ago, I had a large cat who went 20 pounds, but the vet said he wasn't overweight, and had trouble reaching his butt to clean it. I would get a smelly butt in the face while dozing on the couch. I would push it down, with a forearm, then it would go right back up in my face to seriously offend.

I think the butt in the face is the same as when dogs sniff your crotch. "How do you do?" They can tell a lot about your health from doing so. With cats, they are letting us know how they are. Also, there's the message of, "You're my mommy -- tend me." I never found it to be rude. In fact, I'm always flattered. Of course, I was born with my mother's elderly Siamese car in the household, and I learned feline language from the cradle.

The meow vocalization is Only used by cats to get a human's attention. Humans don't phlem so the butt thing doesn't mean much to us - they are also giving you the opportunity to access to their personal info.

I wish I could post our cat for caturday but I’m just a kid so I’m not allowed to give away an email, that being so I just wanted to say I have a cream colored cat ( aka “ buff color “ look it up “ ) we found his mama under our barn in the backyard with a orange cat and a black cat , we kept all of them but the black one ran away and later the mama came home pregnant of 7 and had 5 girls ( all black ) and two boys all ( cream ) we sold them all of them besides one boy kitten because he was tinier then the rest but acted Like the boss and we loved his personality and named him “ baby kitty “❤ later we baby sited 6 kittens for a friend who was on vacation, that caused my cat a lot of stress and a urinary infection we set up an appointment at a vet but the morning of the appointment he had a blueish tongue and wasn’t moving , my mom rushed to the vet and luckily he is still here with us to this day❤ he is now 6 years old and is very sweet in his own way and is a Lap cat and loves duck . If u can pin my comment baby kitty would love that!

My cat thinks he's a dog. I bred my Maremma and I still have 2 pups left and Shikari (cat) has bonded with D’Artagnan (pup). He even takes food out of D’Artagnan's bowl when he's eating. There are 8 weeks between them, the cat is older, but it looks like they are bonded buddies for life.

They trust us . 😊 In reality while watching my three cats I have noticed that they detect each other and everyone not by the face but by but. When I take the youngest for a walk outdoors and we return the older first smells her (it) but if is everything okay) I don't try to say that the but is more important for cats than face ,but all the main organs are there. They have less brains ,than dogs , very small kidneys and a small heart, but but 😊.

Hi, I hv 2 cats ,1 male n 1 female ,Thy were v friendly n playful till 3 month back, but from last 3 months d male cat has become very aggressive to d female cat n attacks her on seeing her ,as we r nw keeping them separate on our vet's advice n bring them together only when surrounded by us but still our male cat gets very aggressive ,We feel very sorry fr them ,as thy miss each other's playful joint sessions thy had earlier ,Clue less what to do ,Even got both neural 3 months back -thy r twins n came to us when thy were just 2,months old nw 1 yr old,Pl advice ,wl mean a lot ,as we r in a fix hw to sort this situation, Thank you
